Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

Yeah, I could tell that they were. I've got way less in them than the Amazon price, and should work while I figure out what I'm doing.

Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

Thanks! I've got a TDS and calibration solution on the way.

Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

Thanks for the advice! All 4 of these lights have a veg and flower array. I was thinking that to start out, I'd just use the veg and try to keep them a little higher (since these are the only lights I have) to keep the intensity down and let them gain root. Since I chose to start out with...

Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

Right on, our water is super clean. It tests 6.5-7.5ppm out of the tap! Since it's that clean, I'm gonna go ahead and use tap for my first grow/germ and see how it treats me. I just put 2 Mephisto Sour Crack beans in a saucer with wet paper towels on top and bottom, and placed it near a...

Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

Got one! The yellow thing in the third pic. Think that'll do? I'll make sure they're nice and clean, thank you!

Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

Yep! Never done anything half assed. I like the concept of DWC and hydro. It interests me and I'm interested in how fast it'll yield.

Starting first grow LED/DWC - questions.

I'm starting my first grow, and want to journal the experience. I've got 2 2'x4'x6' tents, each with two Induxpert 270w draw LED panels (advertised as 600w equivalent), with carbon filters and exhaust fans for both. Each tent will have two plants in DWC buckets, and I've got some screen ready...

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

I agree. Some of them are advertised as '600w cfh equivalent', and I don't mind that, as long as they also give actual wattage draw and the other info necessary to make a reasonably informed decision. I'm sure these aren't exceptional quality, but there's a video up from a reasonably...

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Nope! Just putting things together. I have some feminized autoflower seeds on the way from a seedbank. Can't start til they arrive and I get them popped. Also waiting on two or three more small things to arrive in the mail today and tomorrow.

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Yeah, I got a total of 4 of these now for $100. Figure at that price, I'll try out a grow to completion and build my confidence before investing in better lights. I was looking at the 320w version of that. I can't decide whether I wanna do a COB build, or just buy some quantum panels. A...

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

From what I can find, even most of the nicer ones advertised as 1000w are 500ish tops.

I'm checking out your journal now. Seems like you have a mix of all sorts of lights!

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Gotcha. Thanks for the tips everyone. I may upgrade the lights later, but I already have these ones, got them at a steal. I think I'm gonna put 3 autoflower strains in 5gal DWC buckets for my first attempt, I'll start with 2 of these lights, and maybe experiment with a 3rd. Might do a...

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

I assume they only stretch if they're not getting enough light?

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Will do. I've got an inline fan that moves twice as many cfm than I have in the tent, and I've got an inlet from a cool room. I'll run the lights for a day or two before setting up to see how the temps pan out.

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Awesome. 2 closets and 2 plants per closet it is. Thanks for the advice!

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Think I'd do alright with 2 of them in a 2x4 space? I could put that over 2 plants, and make the same use of another closet. That'd have me at roughly 540w with the full range, or veg and bloom switches both on.

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Sorry, Bridgelux LEDs. Here's what they posted about it. Seems to be roughly the same as the viparspectra 600w, so another chinese panel. If I run 3, I should be pulling a little over 800w at the outlet. Induxpert’s light offers: • Full spectrum, high color, light uniformity with no spots •...

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

Yeah, but I'm not allowed to post links here yet, on account of this being my first post. They're 5w epistar diodes, the units operate at 270w a piece from the wall, but are advertised as 600w equivalent. If you google Induxpert 600w LED, you should come to the amazon link that tells all that...

    810 w too much for a 2x4 closet/tent grow?

I'm starting my first grow in a 2x4x6' tent, inside a closet that's roughly the same size. I have 4 600w induxpert led grow lights, that can be found on amazon (I know there are better out there, but I was practically gifted these from a friend), and should be able to physically fit 3 of them...
