Been 4 years now with the same 6 magnetic ballast. And they were 10 years old when I got them. Never had any trouble only thing is that their wired 220. I did that for easy start up and no humming of the ballast and I use hourtulx bulbs and they’re in the attic with covers removed

I use an ounce per pound of butter or coconut oil. Put it in a rice cooker for 2.5 to 3hrs. With a litre of water. I strain and ring it out with cheese cloth then I put it in the fridge so the butter will float to top and harden up. Then it’s ready to do what ever you want

It’s your ballast mine like that one lasted a year and did that exact same thing. Magnetic is the way I go now
