I agree but that's what HLG recommended for 2 boards. And I grew a lot of fine plants with mine, never running over 90 watts per board.

What drivers do you have? The QB 304s are 100V+ boards so probably a HLG320H-C1400 which would give about 150watts per board, the max its rated for with stock heatsinks. Lots of possible drivers for the QB 288.

You probably could get by with just one light then with one or two plants, depending on how big they can get. Start with one and if you feel the need, get a second one.

Not personally, but I know people who have used them. Not bad for the price but they have a high failure rate and typical Chinese attitude towards warranties, people have literally been told to " just buy a new light" Ahhhh........ no thank you!

Those deep reds actually give plenty of red light and the 3500K whits have a fair amount of red. This is a great light in veg and in flower. Personally, I wouldn't trade my Diablo based lights for anything! Well, maybe for HLG's newest next great light. :bigjoint:
