    A Newbies First Grow

5 days from my last update. Both plants have transformed to flowering stage beautifully. Huge new areas of growth with all sorts of bud spots and crowns. Especially the big girl, who shadows over her lil' sis and steals all the sun! Both are super healthy and look to be ready any day now. I am...

    Start of life?

I journal right into my phone starting with seed in ground. That way it is right in my pocket and I can write down something anywhere from the garden to the garden store. My entire feed journal is recorded on my phone as well. So I have notes for the plant observations and notes on my feeding...

    A Newbies First Grow

Witnessing my first stretch is wild. Everyone has referenced it, but seeing it happen is very cool. Here is what I mean: 7/25/18: First measurements recorded. Plant 3 - 59 inches vertical (4.90 FT) Plant 4 - 40 inches vertical (3.30 FT) 8/4/18. Big Sis 67 inches (5.60 FT) Lil Sis 49 inches...

    Slow start to flowering

I'm in SE Wisconsin and my plants are delayed somewhat too. But this week we start to see more drastic changes in light/dark ratios, and I still plan on a good 10-12 weeks of flowering. Long term forecast shows a warm, extended fall this year, so keep those fingers crossed!

    A Newbies First Grow

I know to the experienced grower this is no big deal. But for a first time newbie like me, I am on top of the world when I see this on my lil' one. Oddly, she is about a week ahead of big sis on pistil development. Lil' one probably gets less direct sun during the day, and therefore might have a...

The points you make is the reason why my plants are still untouched by insecticides. I just cannot bring myself to do it.

    A Newbies First Grow

I have been sitting here for an hour debating putting this shit on my babies. Thanks for the intervention. I am returning this crap to Stein's. I am not as concerned as I was yesterday. My plants are healthy, exploding and happy. I will monitor and take action if needed.

    A Newbies First Grow

Ladybugs are like right around the corner here. I don't think I have weeks to wait though, but it might be my secondary attack once they grow immune to my first treatment. I am leaning towards Fox Farms Miticide, since I have used that on my tomato plants in the past.

Looked it up. It has to be. Explains why I have seen 3 cases of rice-sized neon green "drips" at 3 different stem points.

Thanks! I have been very active on my first grow. 2 out of 4 planted ain't a bad thing at all!

    A Newbies First Grow

No web so far. Normally insect life around my babies is minimal. Seeing this today after my first pistils are popping has me paranoid. I might buy a garden sprayer and do the soap route. Thanks
