    What did you accomplish today?

You're more brave than me. Can't stand the malls in December! :p

Should I cut lower branches at 15 days into flower?

I've done side by side grows with and without lollipopping and it didn't really impact yield. The only reason I do it is because I don't like dealing the popcorn buds at the end, but some enjoy them for edibles etc. Another positive is it helps lower RH in flower and improve air circulation...

Can someone tell this Newb why plants are still small

What lighting are you using? I've had bigger plants in solo cups in about 2 weeks.

    Air circulation

Nope. Controlling the outer room won't do much to force air exchange from within the tents.

    Air circulation

Are both tents flowering? Pulling air through 2 carbon filters is a lot of resistance for a single fan. It will definitely drop the CFM rating by a large order of magnitude permitted it doesn't fry. Keep in mind air is similar to water in that it will take the path of least resistance, so if one...

First time growing learning on the fly. Are my plants small?

Those little bulbs can get much much closer, nearly touching the leaves if you want. Just be careful they aren't actually touching the leaves or they will burn them. Within 2-3 inches though for sure. My first grow was with CFL so growing with little bulbs has a special place in my heart ;)

Seed Making made easy - Selfing a plant

Yep. I'm not after the male traits in my breeding so it didnt matter much to me. You can use CS and grab pollen from the fem clone too.

Seed Making made easy - Selfing a plant

Essentially. It really depends on the parent mother plant you want to reverse. Some have extremely recessive traits and remember you will never get 100% of seeds with similar traits to the mother, it depends on how many homozygous-recessives you are after as well as the number of alleles donated...

Seed Making made easy - Selfing a plant

I've only spent time on it twice and it produced seeds nearly identical to the clone. Since it takes so long my reason was to preserve genetics and lower plant count for legal reasons. They are in a freezer until I need some (about 300 seeds). I pop 2 or 3 each year to check germination rates.

Seed Making made easy - Selfing a plant

That's the difference between quality breeders and pollen chuckers. Ever order from a company like Crop King Seeds? You'll notice 3-4 drastically different phenos in a 5 seed pack. Very unstable genetics. Every plant grown from seed will have slightly unique traits, but they shouldn't be that...

Seed Making made easy - Selfing a plant

For anyone looking to "preserve" genetics using this method, just know that there is no guarantee a selfed plant will produce seeds 100% the same as it's parent. You will see a lot of dominant traits come out in its offspring and those hard to obtain recessive traits that people breed for will...

    growing without nutrients

Does he bring that dirt indoors? That's how you get bugs. Depends on where you live but near me the soil is mostly hard clay. Weed likes more airy soil so the roots can penetrate easier.

    3x3 tent lighting?

Yes, a 600 will be very good coverage for a 3x3. Just make sure you have very good air exchange or it will get too hot.

Heads up guys watch your power consumption

It's also winter in many places, a lot of people run things like electric heaters (usually 750-1500w) and christmas lights on timers. As people have said this isn't the 80s any more and many states it is already legal, they don't really bother with the helicopter nonsense for cannabis any more...

    Spidermite!!! Help!

Haven't used the bombs but I have heard good things about the Doktor Doom line of products. Not something I would try in flower though. Soap is much safer and can be rinsed off. Pyrethrum is very potent and the active ingredient in many miticides, it is an extract from Chrysanthemum flower.

    Spidermite!!! Help!

Better known as insecticidal soap, can usually get it at a local hardware store or online, should do the trick.

    Spidermite!!! Help!

3rd week of flower you will barely have bud sites. Crank up the air flow in there, drop temps and increase humidity for a bit, it will grind the breeding of mites to a halt. You can still hit them with potassium salts of fatty acids at this stage, just make sure you get the undersides of every...

Feminized seed but growing pollen sacs?

Yes. Only takes 1 pollen sac to produce hundreds of seeds. Not worth the risk, especially in a room with fans blowing it everywhere.

Feminized seed but growing pollen sacs?

Depending on method used, probably colloidal silver in this case, not 100% of seeds are female. You are usually looking at around 95% female rate, you are the 5% unlucky one in this case. Toss it.
