I agree, slap a 6500k daylight bulb or two in there for a better veg, then switch back during flower. If you can, take the screen out until they reach that height and then put it back in. If you can't, oh well, it will still grow. What is the temp after the lights have been on for a while? I...

I generally tend to take what the company claims as the coverage area and 1/2 it. Therefore, I'd say you would need 2x240 in a 4x4. 2x180s can pretty much lay on the plant like you described with no negative effect in a 2x4, but it's almost not enough light spread. The 240s are more powerful...

If you added up all 3 of your plants and only got 2oz with 2x240BS, you fucked something up.
