  • Hoi Wietefras, hoe gaat ie?

You seem to know what you are talking about so I ask you this? I am looking for a parts list for a true 600w led strip for a 5x5 grow tent that can be used from veg to flower.

No sure man. You'd be better off checking ledgardner. That site has many example setups for all kind of space sizes.
Hoi Wietefras how are you? I am following jou already long time on the led strips but I have some questions about my own built. I am from Holland to. I know I have to post on forum but englisch is though for me. Can you sent me a pm so that I can reply in Dutch? I do not have that function yet. Very much appreciated, thanks in advance. Lance
Hi wietefras, I saw a reference to your copper water-cooled unit for COBs but I couldn't find a thread with a review. Were you happy with the performance? Unnecessary? I don't want to over engineer so I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

Well it does work just fine, but in the end I opted for air cooled to avoid the hassle of pumping water around through the fixture.

Also I have switched to led strips, so I'm working on a new water cooled design with those strips and aluminium square tubing.
You mentioned that 46000 Lumens/square meter, what is this in LUX? Lumens/sq meter is a definition of LUX. Would this be correct 46000 LUX, I use 2700K &3500K CLU 048 citizen COBs for flower and would like to know what you think about appropriate LUX levels for flowering.

That would be an average lux over a square meter of 46000 yes. Plants work with photon counts though and that measured in umol/s (PPF) or umol/s/m2 (PPFD). Problem is that 2700K and 3500K have different conversion rates so they would need a different lux/lumen amount to end up on the same amount of light.

The plants will be fine with something between 20,000 and 70,000.
Hi mate, I saw you used these TCI led strips...what is your feedback on those? did you flower with these as well? what grams/watt did yuo get? thank you

I have used them for VEG only. Used the 3000K ones, but I get a bit too much stretch so I will try some 4000K's too and add some 3000's so I can get them ready better for the flowering tent.

From what I measured, they do really come true to their claim in lumen output. So I wouild say they would work well for flowering too, but I already have flowering lights.

    thank you mate
Hi, i made a post in one of your posts i still would like the schematic if possible :p but i wanted to ask something related I was thinking about using a 100k digital potmeter that is controllable via my arduino is this a bad way? do u have more control via the other method? thanks btw

A a digital potmeter would work just as well I would assume. Never tried it though.

I don't have any schematics, but it's basically an digital switch that you wire up on the output of a PWM capable pin on the Arduino.
