You are more generous than I.I just have to give a report on our anniversary dinner. F, total fail.
We went to "Carrabbas". We've been there a couple of times and always loved it.
They served us our drinks and appetizers and that was good. Then we waited. After a half hour here come the entrees. We asked what happened to our salads? Oops they whisked our entrees away and a few minutes later salads arrived, most definitely not fresh. we finish our salads and here come the entrees which have been sitting the whole time and are now luke warm to cold. My wife's steak was a rubbery little hockey puck and her broccoli was cold. Our waiter and all the staff were actively avoiding us. The manager finally brought us our check and apologized. At first he was going to only charge us for the wine and appetizers. I told him in a voice that I'm sure the entire restaurant heard "you totally fucked up our 50th wedding anniversary dinner thanks a lot". Then he comped us for the whole dinner. Which was not the point what we wanted was a nice dinner.
That's all, just normal service, and we get tipsy and leave a nice tip.
We didn't leave a tip. And they comped us for the dinner. You are more generous than I.
I wouldn't have left a tip for piss poor food and the avoidance ploy.
Absolutely genius pay off the kitchen staff to mess up your orders so you can get out of trouble for going golfing that's just genius lolWe're going to the old stand-by, Chilis tonight.
Are those the ones from Boston Clone Company? I just took cuts to flower the 5 strains I got from them and will be flowering them out after they veg for 4 weeks. Looking super healthy in your grow, nice job. Finally flowering my new Breeder's Cuts strains! The new perpetual grow is in full swing.
New plants in the first aero system under my new LED (Viparspectra KS5000). Put in 3 days ago -

New moms in their tray under the new LED -

Just took the moms out to cut new clones. They look bigger out of their tray -

Bit of a learning curve with the LED lighting, but it is already much easier to control room temps without the HPS. Excited to see the flowering results. Back to work after a long hiatus. Blessing/curse....

Hey bro, don’t forget you’ll need to run that room a little warmer than you did with hps. It’s hard to get it through our head, but lights on room temp should be around 84F with LED’s. Or yields will suffer, don’t ask me how I know lol. Thanks, bro. Yep, they're all from BCC. I only veg for 3 weeks after they root fully, or they get too big for the systems. They were looking a little rough after I took the first clones, but someone suggested that they may need additional cal-mag under LEDs. Turns out they were correct, it took care of the deficiencies that I never encountered under HPS. I previously thought Cal-Mag was just a punch line![]()
Thanks for the reminder about the room temp, what should temps be with light off? My rails are 5 inches, and the pipes with sprayers inside are at a fixed height. The sprayers are about 2 inches from each net pot, and the roots are already sitting on the bottom of the rails as soon as the plants are put into the system. So the roots of each plant are sprayed near the net pots, then the nute solution flows over the root mat sitting on the rail bottoms. They are hybrid aero/nft systems, made popular from Stinkbud's Harvest a pound Every 3 Weeks thread in the hydro section. Since my grow is a scrog as opposed to a sog, the plants need the veg time to branch out and fill the trellises. Plus, each phase is on a 3 week cycle (Moms grow for 3 weeks, cuttings sit in the cloner for 3 weeks, then move to the veg unit for 3 weeks, then into one of the 3 flowering systems for 9 weeks. Rinse and Repeat). I use a 400 gph pump in each flowering system, great flow. 1 minute on and 8 minutes off.Hey bro, don’t forget you’ll need to run that room a little warmer than you did with hps. I’m curious exactly how your tubes are setup. With the ones I built for myself and everyone else we would usually put rooted cuts directly into flower. Hard for most people to digest that, but they would end up 2.5-3 foot tall when finished. If vegged for more than a week before flip they would be way out of control.
Do your rails have a riser in them to be able to adjust the nutrient height? You see mine did. We would put our rooted-in-oasis-cubes clones into net basket and set the riser to where the nute soup was just hitting the bottom of basket. Then as soon as roots dropped a little, would lower it to where there was a gap, and then finally, after about a week, would remove the riser all together when enough roots were down low enough. So at first it’s like a cut starting out in DWC and then the system is a combo SWC/NFT with the exposed roots getting diffused spray hitting them. They fricken rocked. Another thing was the flow. I always liked around 300-350gph flow through each 8’ rail.
