I think PCK (from Ace Seeds) is a rather sure way to get red males and females. I read some did get green phenos so not sure if it's 100%. If it's color you're after, like I am atm - for the fun of it - I highly recommend it. Only downside, as I mentioned before, the yield is very low and it's not very potent stuff. Still low in the first cross I made with it, still mediocre in F2, but in the current grow, outcrossed to CH, it's definitely not low yield. I've rarely been this excited about the results and they still got a couple of weeks or more to go. It looks like there's a few with now color, but most range have some color. I feel like one of those miners from Opal Hunters when I first see it... we got collar! And by now it's big and it's cheesy.

Moddafok… found 3 on another green pheno too and 2 on a pink pheno. It confirms a suspicion I had for a while… the Silver Haze (in the Silver Panama I created (panama x silver haze) and possibly also the wineballs (another silver haze x pck) is let’s just say no good breeding material.

Might grow out the seeds from the most red one (the one clearly leaning more to PCK) for personal consumption but this is a dead end. Sucks cause I also have original haze x silver haze I can no longer trust.

Back to the drawing table… or maybe not... I think I may have found my Hindu Kush x red PCK seeds, which was the original plan (beef up PCK with Hindu Kush first). Maybe grow more CH and PCK as an alternative, then kill all the PCK females cause they yield so poorly.

Panama (Ace Seeds) is one I`m eager to try, hope to have it in my next seed batch ordering

Sensi Seeds, regular. I'm biased towards them, I was 16(!) when I walked into their first seed shop, love the history and Ben Dronkers is a bit of national hero to me. So when I suggest it's Sensi's silver haze giving me hermies... let's just say if breeding or making seeds is the goal it's a risky choice or would require lots of packs, space and time. It's one of my favorite strains ever. Good Silver Haze > SSH and Amnesia Haze (from foodie to foodie, it's like less but more pure ingredients). Of course, barely anything of what you can buy today in even the best shops aren't the same seeds from the original parents. The Silver Panama was a real winner, impressed Ace Seeds owner too, aside from the easy but good name it had the silver (almost glassy looking frost) and effect and taste different and more than the sum of the parents. I found nanners in one of those and figured ok maybe I shouldn't have used the feminized Panama after all, even though I did find some in the first SH run I was very sloppy with light then. Long story short, bias and wishful thinking. It's all good, it's more about the process than the end goal anyway.

I also have Panama x PCK, but I feel like since they're both Ace Seeds' work it's up to them to create that, or not.

Aside from vigorous plants with high yield it had a for me after 3 decades+ smoking mj a unique effect, which I remember describing as something that should come with a warning like don't operate vehicles or machinery after smoking Panama. Almost trippy, sometimes great, sometimes paranoia inducing weird, not good for sleeping. Years after growing it I bought washing detergent with 'wild roses' scent and finally was able to describe what (the phenos I got of) Panama smelled like. I got it cause I wanted to add red 'hairs' (pistils) to red variaty but the ones I had didn't show that trait.

Had a solution in mind for that, beef up pck with hindu kush but looks like I lost my (sensi) Hindu Kush x red PCK seeds, which aside from strange does kinda suck. The Hindu Kush is more fluffy but also far more bulky.

Beans vs seeds:



The small ones are the seeds I hope-think is Hindu Kush x PCK. Not a whole lot of other possibilities given the size of the seeds. Small chance they came from a Oldtimer's Haze (original haze) female or worst case scenario L8N8 (which is like 6-7 week haze with silly low yield).

Only one way to find out, and I should be able to tell early on, may not even have to flower them. I'm also thinking of popping a bunch of the (red female PCK x red male PCK) just to get one or more red males. And a few plants as back up. Hindu Kush is stronger than PCK but still pretty weak stuff compared to the high THC varieties nowadays.

Missing a main bud This one’s clean, different more afghani pakistani kush bud structure. Remember I said early flower I’ll probably regret taking clones… It’s not the best smelling one but quick dried pre-taster already has a very broad whole tongue covering palette.







Cauliflower-bud pheno (leans most to SH, needs longer to finish), no red or pinkish, 1 nanner…



This one ended with PCK like leaves at the top. Clean too.


This one’s more like CH structure, still getting more red from bottom up. Smells gorgeous, very sticky too.



I’ll post some dry bud pics later on. Maybe share my super efficient harvest method

Looking good! I always thought sensi seed was a good breeder, unfortunately I never got a real winner from them, skunk#1, shiva skunk, nl#5, spent lots of money on beans all to be disappointed. I mean the plants were good but the skunk wasn’t what I was hoping for. Oh well win some lose some! I’d prefer to buy seeds from you after seeing the pics.

How’s it going? Just purchased seeds after arguing w my wife for some time about it lol, I ordered a banana gelloto a pure afghan and a few others, all coming from your neck of the woods,as u.s. seeds are far more expensive and no freebies. Anyways just checking in hope all is well, happy new years!

I got several seeds popping as we speak. I don’t want to share seeds that hermie as easily as the ones I had previous run but will be haapy to send you a bunch of freebies this year assuming things will go better.

Any thoughts on original sensible seed co, or delicious seed co? I got honey balls cbd and Marmalate eagerly version from delicious and the other ones from sensible seeds, never ordered from Herbies before. I always used midweeksong but I guess they’re closed. Before that I used to order from Marc emery in the 90,s and early 2000,s I would fly to Vancouver, I wish I had known you back then. I was in Amsterdam in I think it was 2001 I was there for a week, weed was good food sucked, but I guess if you came to the states you’d probably think food sucks here. I remember I had to buy a plug because the outlets wher different there. Tell you the truth the whole week was a blurr of coffee shops and prostitutes,,,,but I remember it with a smile.lol

Lol, “a blurr of coffeeshops and prostitutes”, sounds like you had a good time. I used to go like every 6 weeks, with my wife who’s crazier than I am so yeah… Since covid it’s more like 3 times a year, only 60 miles away but the parking…., and my legs don’t work as well asthey used to while we always walk tons in A’dam….And we’re totally aware our food sucks. Check out the the foodie thread in Toke and Talk forum, I said the same thing more than once. I know a few good restaurants in Amsterdam, while there are hundreds of meh ones. If you or anyone reading this goes to Amsterdam, again, check out Saturnino (Italian) or De Nachtwacht (meat…) on Rembrands Plein, or go to the Foodhallen (like abig hall with many small shops and shared seating area). Touristie yet great food. I rarely go somewhere else because once you know what’s good… Things improved, more variety, but it’s always a gamble.

I’m kind of completely out of the loop nowadays. Hard to recommend any seed shop, so many commercial ones in Amsterdam that are basically just resellers, but some decent ones too. Generally speaking, the longer they’ve been in business the better.

When I worked in a shop myself, now 30 years ago, I sold what now are originals, like skunk, cali orange, northern light, hindu kush or master kush, original haze, top 44, early pearl, afghani etc. Mostly what Sam brought over. Then everyting was skunkified, as in crossed with skunk. Haze was grass, often harvested too early. Then came Jack Herrer, white widow (smoked that for years), and then with SSH (mr nice seeds) and widely available hps the many haze hybrids, and amnesia and amnesia haze (smoked that for years too). Kush, afghanicas, that was the cheap stuff. Nowadays it’s the opposite, high thc kush and indicas are top of the menu, amnesia and haze hybrids is the cheap stuff. Gelato is popular and usually pricey. It’s as if both US and NL go from indica to sativa and back. I recommended SSH to make haze hybrids a decade ago in this forum and now look with pleasure at the SSH community grow threads, but at the same time *I* want some gorilla glue, girl scout cookies, or gelato #45…

Well I’m getting 2 gorilla glue#4 for free with seeds purchased if u want I’ll send them to you,just dm me. I don’t like the glue as it’s a 58-65 day strain and I prefer quick finishers. The banana one my wife picked , it’s a 65 day strain but I’ll make exceptions for her.lol. Do u have any old skunk seeds? The real old road kill smell I believe has been lost over the years. I have several skunk,including sensi super skunk and skunk#1 none have the smell I remember.
unfortunatly I don’t think I’ll be visiting Amsterdam again, I don’t think my wife would approve of the old me. Also wile I was there there was only one place we ate almost every day can’t remember the name of place but it was supposed to be a Mexican restaurant not far from our hotel but they served grilled steak, the tacos and everything else was horrible. You would think people completely stoned with severe munchies would enjoy any food, not the case,we stuffed ourselves with Potatoe chips and moved on to window shopping. i Originally ordered the skunk, nl, and several land race true breeds with intentions of crossing,stabilizing, but turns out it’s a lot of work and requires viable pollen storage over time,so I ended up just selfing most good plants and tossing the others. I also regret buying so many seeds at once as most are over 10-15 years old and germination rates have become like 1 out of 10 or in some cases like Pakistan valley,or Brazil Amazonia not a single seed popped out of 10 packs. anyways Good to hear from you hope all is well and get pix up as they come. I kinda find your grows like weed pornLol, fun to look at and wish I could smell n taste….lol

Oh, forgot to mention, we walked everywhere too, rented bikes once. the Only car we got in was from the airport to hotel and then from hotel to airport. I don’t think I could do all that walking anymore either. And driving to find parking,,I lived in Chicago and know very well what road rage is. I don’t think I’d have the patience or self control to drive there! So props to you!

Never saw that last message… I’d be happy to trade some seeds with you, only reluctance I have is that I don’t want to share work-in-progress that isn’t up to par for my own standards or is just a next generation of someone else’s work. Like PCK x PCK. I consider that still ace seeds’ prerogative to sell share. Wasted quite a bit on silver haze crosses with not good SH parents. That said, you planning to grow this year?

I just started a new run. Trying new medium, 70% coco, 30% perlite, premixed from Plagron. I enjoy the complete inertness of perlite but it requires me to water daily, as in my small pots it dries out pretty fast, even with ‘hempy’ res at bottom of bottles. Might turn it into a 50-50 mix.

I should have taken pics of germination, the P seeds are so potent compared to anything else. 24hrs in wet tissues and I had 2” inch roots to stick into rockwool cubes (didn’t decide on the coco at that point yet).


Some more wineballs, different female parent, just had to give it one more try despite the nanners last run. Some already looking promising color-wise:


And, new kids on my block, Rockstar (Rockbud x Sensi Star).


Currently under 600watt hps dimmed to 250watt. Still a bit cold to use led.

planning on buying a new light soon,any suggestion on 800-1000 watt ? I like Hlg scorpion, grand masters tarantula, and mammoth 8 bar. Plus’s many others can’t decide one way or another so input appreciated.

Wish I could be of help but completely out of the loop when it comes to lights, never really caught up with the modern pre-build LED offerings. I can see why it's hard to decide though, they all look like mature quality products. Maybe someone else reading this can chime in.

I bought a few grams of bubblegum last week just to smoke something different for a change than my own stash. No bubblegum taste, but it strangely reminded me of Power Plant, which is actually quite different. Was clone-only and they (dutch passion) sell regular seeds too so can't speak for the seeds. Not the most distinguished taste but I'd like to smoke that again, might have to get a pack this year.

I grew a bunch of bubblegum strains. Nirvana,serious seeds, th seeds, and a few others. I made S1’s of the TH seeds version as it was a more indica dominant plant with a good aroma and sedative high. I grew several strains of blue berry also and my favorite of them was from spliff seeds. Never could get hold of the original from dj short was it? Anyways I crossed the two and call it my gum. Turned out w the TH seeds structure and production but a faint blue berry smell. Could call it my blue gum I guess? Yes please anyone here feel free to help me pick a light! Aiming for the 4/20 sale.
