Please help! My babies are dying!

Maybe you're right, I'm just a newbie, but to me it seems like overkill with all of that light for tiny seedlings. My last couple of seedlings were under 36W flos and didn't stretch after they reached ~4". Something did fry his plants however, so if not light, perhaps too rich a soil.

    Making Nutes for Hydro

Who cares what the nutrient companies think. They make plenty of money on growers and realistically no matter what it will always be a small number of growers who end making their own. The difference between a tomato grower and commercial MJ grower is that MJ farmer's crop is worth much much...

Please help! My babies are dying!

My take on it is that you killed them with too much light, plain and simple. You had 115 Watts just 1-2 inches from a handful of tiny seedlings, which was not needed at all. I grew some seedlngs into dense and super healthy little 4 node bushes under 2*18W 2ft flos which shows that small plants...

Quiet. The Neighbors Can Hear You (Sound Control Thread)

From on top of my head: 1. Build a fan box with foam, rockwool and plaster 2. Build a muffler like this one: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=42646 3. Reduce bends and turns in the ducting as this increases noise, lowers air flow and therefore creates need for higher fan speed...

    quetions about nutrients

Why don't you just calculate it yourself, it's quite straight forward. ml nutrients per liter water times the size of your res times the number of res dumps you plan to do. Sorry if I come across as arrogant, didn't mean to, but it's pretty straight forward as you can see.

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

I too have a few questions for Heath in case he comes by some day and feels like spending a couple of minutes: 1.Do you use any additives besides your basic hydro nutes as in flower, trich and root boosters, anti gibberelins for stretch control (e.g. bushmaster, phosphoload) and if so can you...

    first month of bubbleponics

Looks a little better, but still way yellow. You can try some different white balance settings and see if one gives you less of that yellow hue. If you have a dslr, you can put a piece of white paper under you lights and tell the camera 'this is white' and it will automatically set white balance...

Looks good mate, keep it up! Btw. you can see the color of light from HPS is much warmer, screwing up the pictures. You can change the white balance setting on your digicam to 'incandescent' which should give you nice and neutral colors again. VF

    first month of bubbleponics

Thanks Devastation, I'm going to be growing Critical Mass and Chronic, so will ask in the strains forum about preflowers. CM varies a lot in phenos, so would hesitate to discard stretchy plants as being males considering the price of these seeds. VertFarmer
