Well I know I put this thread in the newbie section but this is actually my 7th grow and the first time I'm trying half cycles where one is in the blooming the grow room and another is in the nursery, but the problem was the one posted in the picture grew out of the nursery size I had faster...
My dumbass thought it'll be possible to just keep the little girl on emergency lighting (120w CFL), keep it in regular plastic container rather than smart pot AND relatively high humidity. I'm 99% sure I've got root rot. Tried to move the girl to a bigger SMART Pot with fabric lining to promote...
TLDR; ordering from China is extremely unreliable right now. Sourced my light from the US and couldn't be happier
Deciding on ordering from the alibaba during a pandemic was not a great idea. After being promised by Meiju product would be delivered within a 10 days, I was informed of a delay...
I don't blame them for the international shipping delays I blame Meiju and Kingbrite for blatantly lying about them to get you to spend money first. This was my experience, doesn't mean it'll happen to you but as long as this pandemic is on I imagine it's likely to affect other others too.
I...
After reading the ample advice here I thought I'd share my experience with the two leading companies featured here, Meiju and Kingbrite.
While I'm sure these companies make great lights, I highly recommend anyone that doesn't live in China or the U. S NOT TO ORDER from either of them.
At first...
Thanks a lot! After reading what people had to say about Meiju at that thread and on my thread as well I think I'm gonna take the plunge and buy the 240w set.
I'll update once it arrives
Cheers guys
Yo thanks for the heads up. Stay safe man, I'm in Israel at the moment, we're not far from a total lock down order either. Right now I can only drive to buy drugs or food. Can't walk further than 100m/300ft from my apartment. Their lights look great, but they're just a bit over budget for me...
Cool, though the link you sent me was for their 480w light, that would be too much for my 2×2 wouldn't it?
I checked out their store and found this 240w that just barely fits my tent ( it's 24.8 inch long)...
Update :
Tried contacting HLG about int'l shipping for the lights. I currently do not live in the states and delivery costs to my country from HLG actually cost more than the kit itself .
Furthermore due to the Coronavirus our gov is possibly initiating a mandatory self quarantine and closures...
Following Airwalker and Major Blazer's advice that strips may suit my needs better, I found this on build on ledgardener for a 2x2:
4x Samsung LT-F284B 1′ Strips ($37) Note- these strips may be hard to find in small quantities.
1x Mean Well HLG-120H-C1400B Driver ($45)
1x 100K Ohm...
I I've been doing a little digging into quantum boards and found this
https://www.ledgrowlightsdepot.com/collections/200-watt-led-grow-lights/products/horticulture-lighting-group-260-watt-quantum-board-led-grow-light-kit-diy
Would this be an overkill for my 2×2×5.5 grow tent?
Wow thanks for the replies guys, super helpful . Are there any posts/ videos you would recommend to read on these lights strips?
I knew what to look for after researching Cobs but had no idea the info was out of date.
Also, where would you recommend to buy these strips and the boards to mount...
Hi ya'll found out about this place after reseraching LED setups and watching growmau5 videos about building your own lights. From what I understand, I would need 4x cxb3590 COB's with a 1400 ma driver . However I'm not quite sure what to use as a mounting base for the COB's if im interested in...
