This is kind of my take aswell; all though shady the GML tests means that we actually have reliable details on his light at 2.9ppf/w.
Tbh most light makers seem to fudge their specs somewhat; when mars was tested here on the forum they came in 10% low at operating temps (similar to Migro)...
I dont think i ever seem someone look so uncomfortable on camera. Weak tea is what comes to mind though somehow i still feel that that theres a lack of proportionality: Mars was tested here on the forum and scored 10% under spec. And caught with their wifi devices harvesting data or similar. Yet...
There seems to be a benefit to it, not sure if its chlorophyll based or its based around not exciting the phytochrome to hard. From what i gather 680 is very likely> than 660 for the plant; and if there is consistent high efficiency bins it would also have a photon efficiency benefit as longer...
First, gml has another vid up, 2 parter drama, lol.
This discussion is maybe not really for this thread but you can see how 680 will excite both Pr and Pfr that togehter with just another little bit of reds you could probably leave out far reds.
Yeah that type of shit can be a bit triggering to me aswell but so can those gotcha moments, lol.
My far red experience is at best lackluster but i think that theres likely better solutions nowadays: osram osconiq 3737 comes in 680nm at extremely high efficiency and 680 is able to excite both...
i still think the migro light looks quite decent, 2,9ish, and at least we now have metrics on it now. But it depends on if people wanna deal with Migro anymore; if theres been deceptive marketing re spec then will warranty be good for full duration?
i missed this til now. intereting study; i have to read it in depth. 2 hours of far red after dark seems excessive though but surprisingly little strech effect on 10 hours of light with 2 hours of only far red.
So i never wanted to post my doubts about the specs on this light; 3.2 wall efficiency doesnt seem right or possible with that diode count and the posted spectrum (looking like 3500k base white meaning some really heavy lifting being done by 660nm reds). Now gml seems to have done some tests...
Hanging height and tent size? Thats two 175 w qbs youre hanging...
The 3 board qb 320 already needed 18 inches, this one is going to need even more afaik.
Ive heard many suggestions for ratios but generally always much more uva than uvb, as much as 99:1 uva to uvb down to 3:1 from another source. It kinda depends on how you apply it and what specific part of the uvb: the uvr8 actionspectrum shows that its most sensitive to something around...
Your uv bars are 385nm, right?
Uvb without uva is likely to burn your plants quite badly with big yieldloss.
Uva gives a more developed taste/smell and possibly a bit more stone but really hard to determine.
Carefull application Uvb can be used to trigger uvr8 gene response which should lead...
Dont i know it, the "i need this..."-list is eternal and forever growing. But honestly pretty much every sensible investment we made has paid off. Happy growing:)
Top cannopy rh is likey much lower than under cannopy rh: rh goes down as temps go up, this is why its a good idea so you know what is going on below.
Love the diy air movement:)
