I would say theres a very low likelihood this is from a "lack" of light considering the wattage you are pushing out 16" away from the canopy. There are people who grow killer weed with 100w cfl's (albeit a small yeild). Mars advertises a ppfd ranging from high 900s to mid 700s in a 4x2'...

Did the plant have any heat or light stress throughout its life cycle? Do you have an idea of ambient temp around main coal/top of canopy. What light are you using and how close is it ? Hps has given me issues with finishing before and it looked similar to this
