Rice does work but you need A LOT of it. Have you tried useing dishwasher salt? That works well. You can also use table salt. If you dont like the idea of any of them you can buy moisture boxes for £0.99 or buy some of this stuff...

Theres no real answer to your question mate. Theres a lot of things to take in to account. Soil, Hydro, Nutes, Strain and the list goes on. Me personally, I would put 2-4 plants under a 400w
