I had the same concern when I run the 2 , at one point I was running both lights about 8 inches from each other with no problems , other then I think (not sure) but that run of plants did not stretch more then 2 inches .

You are lucky to have quail in your area , I am a avid Bird hunter , but a good Bird dog would really be the way to go when hunting Quail. To kick one up doing it without a dog makes for a long day .
