No, I didn't want to create any kind of barrier between the two plants. I wanted them to be able to easily bond and root. I used a twist tie at the base above the root riot cube, and they are snuggly fit into it so they can grip and spread out.

Yeah, grafting is where I got the idea because I remembered the topic in 7th grade haha.

I took a razor and made a normal cutting as with clones, but I basically sliced the bottom of both plants in half, and then faced the two cut halves together as if to make one solid trunk.

Oops, forgot to upload it lol. Here we go. I bought hydroton because I'm creating a cabinet hydro. I put hydroton on the top soil because I read roots don't grow all the way to the top because of the pressure water creates when hitting the soil.
