  • I'm new on here but been around the garden a time or two. My background is in healthcare. Thought I'd share. Prior to my inserting the plants into their new home. I wiped down every surface with a "disinfectant"...that differs from a "sanitizer". Whatever additional equipment I placed in the room, I also wiped down. I got my soil bags ready without the plants and then place them in my room. I ran a UV light in the room for several hours still without the plants. I am currently in my third week of bud and things looks healthy. The UV light is something I found on the internet and it's intended purpose is to kill moulds, bacteria, fungus and bed bugs. I've read it can harm the plants but it didn't mine. Additionally, I caution anyone using a UV light to ware proper eye protection as it's harmful to our vision and we can NOT see the light coming from the unit. It leaves no trace residue and non toxic to the person administering.
