Hi guys, excellent thread! I'm about to try this method as described but was wondering: is it possible to use field corn instead? 50 pounds of that is only $9 right now. Also what about nixramalized corn? Has that been tried? Is there something about popcorn that makes it better?
Yes completely dry first. But I guess that's my question-would it need burped when under vacuum? Does oxygen have something to do with the curing process? Also I know the vacuum prevents mold as well. I think I will do an experiment and try curing under vacuum vs traditional.

Mini split is best but most expensive, window unit second and cheap but need big hole in wall. Portable A/C would be my last choice, they never seem to cool as well or remove humidity as well and they take up floorspace.
