  • That's good. Yes, wait till about 5% are amber, then harvest. Watch them every day cause this process goes quickly. About a week or less. Now you should let you know that the 5% number is pulled out of my ass. But it's what I use and I like the high from this time frame.
I told u my memory is bad. lol
I'll tell ya what, your dong ok or so it seems, w/the hydro. Have you learned anything from your experience? Maybe it's something that's a pain at first but then all the sudden it's a cake walk. I do know that it is more of a pain in the ass, unlike soil. But if you learn the hydro, you know something. Plus the plants and buds get bigger. But, if soil is the way u want to go, then cool. Try to buy a potting soil that's ph balanced. Also you want one that drains well and aerates the soil to. Don't buy a cheap soil. Be careful with soils that have time released ball in em. I use Fox Farms Ocean/Forest. It works for me. Fox Farms Trio will provide you with all you need to feed the girls. Oh, try to always a 10"/4.7L pot. Those seem to be the best all around size. If you need any more help/suggestions just let me know. But think about refining you hydro grow dude.
Yep just call me Willi as it was my intro name. I have been cutting the ones that are more than 50% dead. So fare so good. I gave up too soon I see :-)
Good job canna. I still want to call you Willi. But I'll work on it. When you near the end of her life, she does start looking kinda funny. Always remove any dead leaves through out the grow.
Well good luck w/your knee sergury. I't not a big deal anymore. Those docters know what their doing. Just don't let em work on your elbow instead of the knee. (lol) Yeah just finish a harvest and have the surgery and go home and smoke the shit out of your shit and all will be good.
    Later, The Ripster.
Yeah, keep an eye on those trichs. Don't let them all turn amber. Dude, if you take a plant from seed to harvest and get high on your spoils, then you have accomplished alot. All grows after this will be easier and less complicated. Now you know the basics so lets get down to some major auto grows.
I don't use HID lighting of any kind. I use a 2'x4' 8 bulb High Output T5 Fluorescent fixture. It works very well. Hell, I even grew that photo-period plant with it. Plus theres no heat to mess with. I love it.
Man, sorry to here this dude. But that's how we learn. Maybe just think about it like this. Things happen for a reason.
I'm not getting your messages dude. I just stopped by to see how you were.
Ok, the auto's will flower under any light conditions. Because it doesn't flower because of the light. They flower when their internal clock say's to. There for, you could plant in April if the conditions are right. Or you could plant in Aug. But if you plant in June/July they be bigger and juicer. More growing light. Gives you an idea where the sun is and how long it stays out for each season. So, don't switch bulbs, run the grow bulbs always. Light time min. 18/6 max 24/24. I always run mine on 20/4.
Hey Ripster. I think I stopped the Nutes a little too early and may have messed this plant up. My buds are still developing but pistils are starting to Turn Red, Leaves are starting to Die and plant of course is starting to Wilt. The Buds still look Half Way Decent though despite the leaves dying around it.

Hydro Flush: I think for soil I could have started flushing 2 to 3weeks before but for Hydro I should have Nuted up to the last week if that because adding water kills the Nutes as its nears harvest.

I will post a picture but at this point I may call it soon and take her off life support and move to the other seed.

Never the less Its a fun process and I know now what to do.
Also tell me the recommended lighting to use with Autos grow cycle and when to switch them if needed.. I hate CFL's. As of now I have a 250W MH and 250W HPS bulbs. This is worth a thread I think
OK Sounds good. I Did not see a reason to switch light cycle and I was told to switch out to a flowering spectrum bulb for the last few weeks for bigger buds. Please Exlplain man but I think I get it:

I assume the UV from the MH will trick the plant into veggie cycle lighting so it does not finish from the flowering of UV early. So keeping the MH in helps expand life cycle to give time to produce fatter buds?
I understand your heat with the MH lamp, but you really shouldn't switch lights. All you'll do is shorten the life cycle and the buds will be smaller. I hope you didn't change light cycles to. That will really diminish yields. If you have any questions, just drop me a note. But for your plants sake, put the MH back in buddie.
You can give nutes up one week before harvest. As long as the last week you flush her. But I'd just let yours be, it's to close to harvest.
Hay Willi or Cannabusiness. I got ya. Thanks for letting me know dude. Grows going ok I hope.
