  • I bought 2 klimaire, but haven't installed them, I personally have a dyken 24,000 btu and my wholesale cost was $1,800
I bought the klimaire's because a person can hook them up themselves fairly easy, they come with 15 ft of copper with flared fitting already to go,just have to make sure to tighten as much as posssible,.As a pro, I would then pull a vaccum on those lines and make sure there was no leaks. you will have to skip this step.
you'll have to trust your tightening of the fittings are good. Then open the small line service valve while depressing the otherside shrader valve until you here the air is out and a spray of freon comes out, then open the otherside valve. check your connection with your ear. take 2 wrenches and squeeze them together to make sure there tight, you can't overtighten them. 13 s.e.e.r is o.k, remember, for every s.e.e.r you go up is 5 to 10% more effiecient,so if your going to use it alot, it will pay for itself to get a higher seer.
