It is possible to have like 5 different types of bud onto the one bud plant. find like a bud that has a hellll good rootstock, like im talking huge root system but crap bud, graft good bud plants onto this one and you'll get hell tasty bud.

That is an excellent idea, i'd love to try that. I'm guessing with three watermelon plants per pot i should be able to encase at least one of them. Has anybody got any other suggestions or ideas?

I know what you are talking about, this slow release food is OK but it does wear out quite fast when i.e a fast growing plant such as a tomato plant for all intensive purposes takes all the nutrients up. I've grown in soil that is just compost before and the results have been absolutely amazing.
