what I am saying is that given one container with clear sides one one with no light entering the side, all other conditions being the same, no side pins will be evident on the opaque container. Remember that both jars are in the same hunidified environment.
 
First of all sorry for hijacking your thread Budoctor. Secondly what tek are you using? thirdly, try this tek http://www.shroomology.org/topic/8670-6-quart-dub-tub-mist-and-fan-bulk-tek/
Follow this tek to the T, and i mean to the T, and practice sterile technique i guarantee you will have more shroomies than you know what to do with in no time. I'm actually applying that tek to a big 58qt sterilite storage bin. I have it in fruiting right now. Never did a dub tub that big before, but we will see what happens. If it works i'm hoping to yield at least 1/4 pound dry from it.

a current version of that tek is called a monotub. If you go over to the shroomery check out frank horrigan's monotek and/or trancending life's. They have their teks in their signatures so if you see a post by them youll find their methods.
 
Yup. The mono tub is larger and does not need fanning. Good tek with good results. It's has a lot more variables and is a bit more tricky to get it right though.
 
this is taking way to long from what ive read so I dug a hole and put the corn/ myc in it and covered it up
bought some worm castings going to do a shroom grow with
ive got some colonized corn from a g2g transfer
 
How deep is that tub. If it's like 10 or 12" I would replace the top tub with the lid that came with it. I don't think you need that much room in height. Is this a mono? I don't see any holes. How long has this been in fruiting?

Its has a hole in front and back . I started fruiting it a couple daz a go ...fae and light
