Anyone enrolled?

I just enrolled and selected a plan today. Obamacare, that is.

I must say, I think I got a decent plan for a decent price.

I chose the silver, looked like best bang for your buck.

It is $170 a month, no subsidies. But I've had jobs with similar or poorer plans that cost about the same. So as long as doctors actually take my insurance when I get it, I think I will be happy with the plan and it's price.

I still would repeal it if I could, but figure if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Anyone else enrolled, thoughts if you have?

Upon hearing this news, Richard Feynman rolled around in his worm hole...

For some reason, I can sense a force approaching this thread...

Hello B&B...

As you know I signed up through a local Ins provider about a month ago...Did you sign up on line?.. And did you make your first payment on line?

I set up a auto pay through my local Ins guy..Just wondering how you did it...

I signed up online.

No, I have not paid yet. A funny thing happened while I was signing up.

This message pops up, asking me if I am in jail. I say no, because I'm sitting in a recliner in the living room signing up on my laptop, a feat that is impossible in jail.

So at the end, it tells me that I have to send them proof that I'm not im jail. So what, a selfie with today's paper in front of Walmart?

I gotta call the 800 number, and figure out wtf is going on.

Right on..

I signed up at my Ins agents office and it only took 5 minutes to sign up and pay.. I spent hours and hours looking at our state web site and it still doesn't work after three months..I have sent other people to my Ins agents office to sign up and they are happy about how easy it was...And then the state put a gag order out to my Ins agent so he wouldn't talk bad about the cover Oregon web site..And now the state is telling people to fend for them selves..It's so fucked up, I can't wait to vote come November...I hope you get fixed up..

People in jail are exempt and don't have to sign up...So that is very strange..I am not surprised coming from a democratic controlled government trying to run a business..

We're hoping this train wreck will collapse by next February, before we have to renew.
I'm pretty confidant it will.

The train crashed already..I truly believe that if the state would of just let the Ins industry sell Ins to people it would of gone as smoothly as it did for me..And there is one big difference between the state exchange and the private Ins agent, and that is basic minimum info only, they don't even ask you if you smoke if you don't use the exchange..It was as simple as buying car Ins...And then they put the gag order on them, how fucked up is that!...

There were significant savings involved with answering "no" to the smoking question.

If one just said no for lulz and to be a jew, what penalty could result, and how could you get found out?

Following the logic from Roe v Wade, Smoking is a legal activity, because I have a right to privacy. That's bs, but I like bs.

But real talk, since Obamacare is a tax, and cigarettes are taxed heavily as is, I see that as double taxation for the same activity. In other words, I pay enough taxes for my smokes as is.

No matter how you look at Obamacare, there is no way to fairly lower the costs of everyone's healthcare insurance without lowering the cost of healthcare, it's impossible.

Just remember if the doctor is not on your list its "out of network"..you still get reimbursed just slightly lesser..some people get confused about that..also it's not obamacare.. It's whatever health insurance company you signed with and are paying you premiums to ie; blue cross, cigna etc..the ACA is the regulatory law.

Your state web site is the fault of your state..NOT the ACA.

Obumer tried to enroll yesterday and couldn't use the website. Merry Christmas.

Nah.

Then again, I'm also getting out of paying any of the blowbamacare fines next year too.

Honestly guys, how does it feel to be a taker and complain about it? I bet when someone opens a door for you, you complain about it, don't you?
