Javadog's Next Adventure

I would love to hang another 200 W in vertical tubes like that.

I am already using about 300W for Veg. My bill is a joke.

Looking at your breed activity, and mine, I cannot be too hard
on us if we are struggling with growth factors. When I re-work
a known breed, then I will be better able to control a grow.

I know Somango, and am keeping it, but everything else is new.

I get the feeling that I will probably have at least 4-6 keepers in
all the new genetics that I have started. I will be in a position to
work cycles without popping new beans for a few times. (anyone
believe that that is going to happen? ;0)

I will be putting the other plants into their hempys tomorrow.

Onward and upward,

JD

Hello all,

Well, six breeds are in their new hempy buckets.

I am aggressively chopping them down. This is about
growing roots at this point. These ladies will have six
weeks or so to develop so I should be good.

The previous three plants were photod before they were chopped down.

Sour Kosher shows the after-chop look. This is important, to avoid a stretch explosion.

What to do about a fully out-of-control Trainwreck: bury a foot of stem
and chop it down to about 6" tall:

This lady will be making roots all along this stem, with six week of Veg.

Week Four of the older ladies in the tent ends today....about half way
to the next harvest.

Onward and upward,

JD

Hey you leave the dirt on them when you add em to the perlite hempy?
I was rinsing all the soil-less mix out so as not to have a problem.
I guess it shouldnt be a problem though.

Yeah, I started like this because I use nematodes (though
I might not, as a test) and I figured that they would prefer
some soil to live in.

I have one plant, Holy Grail Kush, that was really kicked by
the unrinsed coir that I started it in. It is growing, after being
flushed, but the leaves are looking a bit whacked. I think that
I will rinse its roots off.

Take care,

JD

Hello,

I took the ladies out this morning, then end of Week #4 for
the older plants and the end of Week #3 for the rest.

The MH lamp makes for better photos:
13 Tent at 28 days.jpg

It looks like I might be testing the HPS vs. MH lamp issue
for this Crop, though I am in the market for a new HPS bulb.

The ladies are all doing very well.

The CVMM plants, as I have written, are in two groups, with one
plant being a very strong grower and very green where the other
two are purple-slow-growers. (I have seen this before, with Purple
Wreck being the best representative)

The Green grower needed to be wound around its pot:
5 CVMM5.jpg

This is CVMM #4. It just might be very special:
4 CVMM4.jpg

The other Purplish CVMM:
3 CVMM2.jpg

These CVMM plants represent (to a limited extent, and in my mind ;0) what
expert growers do when looking for new strong plants....this is to say that
they take their best females and cross them with their best males. These
three plants all have a chance of being very special.

The Queens of this grow are the Somango and the Blue Dream.

Somango:
1 Somango.jpg

Blue Dream:
2 Blue Dream.jpg

The Somango got months of Veg that the BD did not, though the BD
got a fair chunk too. The Somango is going to be epic. No doubt here!

The other plants are all doing very well.

The Lemon Thai Kush is the Dark Horse and might steal the show:
11 Lemon Thai Kush.jpg

The GSC is lanky....can I get buds like Chaka's? No idea!
10 GSC.jpg

Chemdog is just plain out of control! I did flip it just in time I think:

A last note: the Lemon Juice Express was just too sad:
6 Lemon Juice Express.jpg

Though the buds did show promise:

...so the Sour Kosher is now in the tent:

Take care all,

JD

Everything looks great!

I like that LED spotlight you have in the corner.
I could use one of those for fill and for clones.veg

Thanks Bass. I have high hopes.

There are actually two of those in there. They are Kessil 350s.
One Purple, and one Magenta. So, they are better for flower
with the one (P) giving a bit of blue for frost.

Enjoying some LA Confidential today. Very delicious smoke!

This just in: my TGA Ace of Spades is female! Yay!

The still haven't confirmed the older BB Psycho Killer,
but if it turns out male, then the AOS may make the next
crop.

Well, I have to say Soma's Somango.

I think that Qrazy Train was really good smoke too.

(I checked and it is out of stock...I will jump on it if it pops back up)

I am finding that LA Confidential is great smoke. Try that one for sure.

My Kosher Kush is insanely strong. The flavor is improving in the jars too.

I had to jump on two new Soma breeds. I saw that he had some femmed
that I could get one of...that was all I had for Somango, so my hopes are
high. These two new ones are Lavender and NYC Diesel. I will probably
pop these right away. I want to get them into the cycle.

Thanks for stopping in.

Hello all,

It seems like some of the N+1th generation TGA breeds have snuck
past a couple of the Nth generation BB breeds when it comes to showing
sex, and so they have been added to the next Crops line-up.

Both Ace Of Spades and Plushberry are in their hempys and in the tent.

The new additions:

Ace Of Spades:

Bubba Kush:

The next crop, Vegging away:
Crop7 Vegging.jpg

Two other additions of this morning, Sensi's Skunk #1 and Plushberry,
are the two in the second column from the left.

There is one slot left, and both Psycho Killer and Smelly Cherry, which
are very strong and big, have not shown sex yet. The SC made small
growths that suggest male, but they are so immature that they still might
throw out hairs.

Take care,

JD

Thanks SS. I have some great breeds in there, including knowns
(Somango) and total unknowns (the Cannaventure Mothers Mix plants).

The line up for the next Crop is settling down, and looks very nice too.

Thanks for stopping by.

I just got back from the desert (Crucifixion Thorn). We did some target
shooting, cleaned up, and got home.

Good luck all.

OK, I was cool with seeing this when tracking my Attitude order:
December 11 pm Processed Through Sort Facility
....but it is now at least a couple of business days and no movememnt.

I am afraid that I have another government stolen order. We will see.

I am a legal grower. I grow for only myself. I grow exotic breeds, and
am hopefully getting better at it, but I do not achieve any kind of "bulk".

I have a tasty bud menu:
TheMenu.jpg

:0)

We will see. The Attitude has come through with a resend every time,
but this is getting old.

JD

P.S. Those are half gallon Mason Jars. I had to order them. :0)
