I think there is more to the story. You was just riding in the car? I have a hard time believing that if I happened to be in a car that was stopped by the police I could/would be charged because somebody else had a gun and ran. Did you know they had an illegal weapon? What kind of losers need to carry illegal weapons anyway? When I lived in Arizona obtaining a weapon legally was pretty damn easy so what is the problem? Why were you riding around with people that can't obtain legal firearms? Sounds to me like this may be a good lesson albeit one that possibly fucks your life up.

Goddamnit, man, I am so disappointed in you. How much did you tell the police? Did you make a statement, write anything down? The car is not yours, and you said you do not know who the driver and passenger are, right?

Be honest with me so I can help you out of this, otherwise, I will just suggest you ignore it and move around the country, depending on the kindness of strangers. You will have to familiarize yourself with the hobo ways, and networks, like couchsurfing.com. There is one here who is knowledable about sucht hings, but hooking up with him should be an absolute last resort.

Tell me, young 7, be honest.

Get a real attorney. Court appointed lawyers usually don't get as favorable an outcome for the defendant. It could be the difference between doing time and getting probation. A good attorney may be able to get charges reduced to a non-felony.

Negro, slow your roll.

You need to type in clear words I can understand. Mr. Wolf is right here.

First things first. You don;t have to afford a good lawyer. Your cousins do. Either they pony up bucks for the best, or you drop a dime on their sorry asses for dropping guns on you and running away. They fucked up, not you.

Spend as much as you possibly can. Trust me I just went through this shit, you don't want to go cheap with a lawyer. Mine Got 3 Felonies and a misdemeanor tossed and I plead guilty to one misdemeanor with a deferred judgement and 1 year probation, clean record too only LEO can see my arrest.

You can usually get a free consultation and will have to pay before any service is rendered. Best not to think cheap in this matter, get the best you can afford and be sure they have a lot of experience in the jurisdiction as that makes a big difference.

I think the system should hammer the ever living fuck out of you because you are exactly what this country doesn't need. Little snot nosed wannabe gangsters trying to be tough with a gun. You want to be a bad ass with a gun, join the Marine Corps as an Infantryman. That's a baddass, not some snot nose with a 22 riding the mean streets of Phoenix in a Japanese import. Welcome to reality! You are now caught in the flush.

May not be a model of a modern major general, however doing time rarely makes anyone a better person when they are released. Just saying... gotta think further than the first move.

Take it easy, BigEasy. Can you not see this kid is scared, and wants to start college in a few weeks? Sometimes arrests like this are the best eye openers and life changers. If he can beat this, he has a chance to know he doesn;t want to ever be in these shoes again and can be a productive member of society.

Have you talked to them since it happened? THEY should eb paying for your attorney, and not some cheapo. You want a good attorney. If they aren;t willing to pay for it, and they put the charges on you, hell yes, feel free to give them up.

Now, answer these questions:

1. Who car?
2. How old are your cousins?
3. I know the police asked you about the guns and drugs after pulling you out at gunpoint. What did you say to them?
