currently im on a schedule where i feed twice with a half gallon of water each and then flush out with a gallon of fresh water no nutes. for the 4 gallon reservoir should i just fill it with 2 gallons of nute water and two gallons of fresh water and have them watered with a watered down feed?

A reservoir or barrel
A water pump
tubing and drippers
a timer....

The pump sends water/nutes to the plants WHEN the timer turns it on.

It's how loads of people feed/water their plants, whether they are in the same room or a great distance away.

Trying to continue a schedule that has different mixtures on different days could get complicated (and costly due to needing two barrels, two water pumps....)

You need to set up this system some time before you go. Then you can learn how long the timer needs to come on for to give them the right amount.

Or phone your parents and tell them you've joined a cult and will be playing Russian Roulette on Christmas Day....
They'll be so relieved you're still alive on Boxing Day that all will be forgiven.

haha boxing day, didnt even have to look at your profile to know you were from the uk. i might have worded my question strangely. since ive been doing the 2 mixtures, should i just mix the two into the one barrel and do that? im worried about putting overfeeding/underfeeding. if i mixed what i would normally feed them over the course of two weeks into one barrel would it cause issues?

Do not overfeed it will burn or kill your plants... what about using a one of those water globes with a cone that goes in soil it watrs when they need it. i used to use one but can't remember the name of it right now.

its an aquaglobe

and bad doesnt begin to describe them. My vote is set up the pump and timer. If you dont need to water everyday a digital timer has different settings for each day of the week. Atleast my digi timer did.

You could consider buying an autopot kit. I could leave mine for a fortnight before the red needed refilling while just using two pots.

im going away for two weeks. i dont think you guys understand what im saying. i water each plant with a half gallon of water mixed with nutes, wait til they need it again, and then water each with a half gallon of water mixed with nutes again, wait until i need to water again, and then i take them to the bathtub and flush them out with 1 gallon of pure water each to avoid nute build up in the coco. This cycle usually takes about 7 days.

could i mix two gallons of nutrient solution water with two gallons of pure water into the 4 gallon reservoir and water them with this watered down nutrient solution while i am away. and no you cant come to my house while im gone haha

Whats the advantage to doing it like that? Im not trying to be rude but i am curious. Myself and every other gardner i know just makes it 800-1200 ppm and then water as needed. Organic, synthetic, doesnt matter. Maybe consider an old fashioned "wick system" for the time your gone. Good luck whatever route you take

I agree with chernobe, thats way to complicated. Unless your growing in the same pot for months and month you shouldnt need to flush like that. You should only flush if you have overfed your plants. Salt doesnt build up that fast. I grow 6 ft tall 6ft around monsters that from start to finish take almost 5 months. I never flush and dont have any problems. Ive only had to flush one plant from salt build up and it was a mother I had vegged in a 2 gallon pot for almost 4 months

i had the impression you were supposed to do that... my buddy back home has more experience than i and grew some danky doing that so ive been trying to emulate.

i think im going to go with the watered down mix for while im gone and then maybe stop doing that weekly flush or just much less often once im back, id just rather be able to see how they react before i try it and leave for two weeks.

both my plants are in 5 gallon pots, ive been vegging for a month but i had a fucked up ph the first two weeks so they didnt grow very well until i fixed it. theyre gonna be in those 5 gallon pots until i harvest them.

do you train your trees at all or just let them go to 6 feet? im trying to veg and top these two until they fill the tent.

careful they will fill it quick. Tents usually arent more then 7ft usually and between a foot above for lighting and other equipment and close to a foot below assuming your ina 3 gallon pot or so doesnt leave much room for monsters like that or atleast has been my experience.

Have a 4.5 ft og right now that i had to pinch in the first week cause i could tell it would be trouble and a kokush of all things that is close to the danger zone from being lazy and leaving her veg for more then 2 months.

so...IMO top top and tie em down cause you are prob. too late to mainline them

and if you are really worried about it i would recommend taking some cuts now and trying to get them rooted before you go since a young clone will need less water throw a few in a larger pot like a 1-2 gal as soon as they root and saturate the coco well you should be good for a week.

Well I grow vertical bare bulb so they naturally bush out like crazy. During the first 2 weeks of 12/12 it doesn't just strech at the top it streches outward like crazy lol so they end up being pretty wide
