First grow, 2 plants, 1 question

Have proper vent, fan blowing wind on plants gently and one to cool the bulb.Ph is at 6.3-6.5, room temp at constant 80 and I am using fox farm ocean forest soil. Anyway, I got them as clones one is LSD and one is LA cheese. The LSD is growing beautifully, but the LA cheese has stalled out. Just wondering what am I doing wrong with the LA cheese? Or could this mean the roots are developing below, and not showing much sign of growth up above the soil?

The clones had been in soil about a week when I got them, and I then transplanted into a 5 gallon bucket. Both plants are about 9 inches tall now and have been in the 5 gallon buckets since thursday. the LSD just keeps growing and growing. What should I do about the LA cheese that has seemed to stall out?? Anything?

Anything else you guys notice on my babies please let me know. Sorry for the pics with the light on I was in a hurry. I messed up and misted the leaves, so there are some burn spots, one leave on the LA cheese is missing part of it, should I snip it off below the break??

Just give it some time, it'll take off. They are two totally different strains so expect them to grow differently. Some strains produce more, or less vigorous clones than other also.

I think I have the same wireless thermometer, love it, got 4 remote sensors.

Heck yea home depot special 8 bucks! Indoor and outdoor temps with rise and fall arrow. On leaves that are showing some stress(like the one with part of it missing, should I snip it off below the break or just leave it as is?) some of the tips are a little yellow as well and droopy at the ends

Personally I let them get completely yellow to where a slight touch knocks the leaf off. The plant is withdrawing nutrients from the leaf as it yellows.

every strain grows different,and you have them under a hps ,which doesnt promote alot of vegetative growth,are they on a 12/12 cycle already?Cause you need some veg time to get the roots to fill in those 5 gal buckets,at least three weeks in soil,get some good organics for feed with myco in it to speed it up,or hygrozyme,sensizym,cannzym,pick one,you want the roots to fill those buckets if you want a decent yield

Fertilome root stimulator solution any good?? It is a 4-10-3 nitrogen,phosphate,potash. My only issue with dumping in starter solution is that the fox farm soil already has a ton of nutes in it and I dont want to shock the babies or cause them other unforseen issues, plus I just watered them for the first time in the buckets 2 days ago, so how would I deliver the solution. They are not on a 12/12 at this time. They are on 24hr light for veg and then when I go to flower I am going to kick it to a 12/12. Would a small dose of the 4-10-3 do any good? Again Im just worried about dumping in more stuff with already rich soil

Growing established plants do not need a root stimulator.

It's just off to a slow start, It looks OK but hard to see actually under the HPS lighting.

how many drain holes you drill in them buckets and are they clear ? did you see the mother's of the clones? FFoF is good starter soil it should have everything it need for a bit. relax give her some space and good water for now.

Let the plant run the soil dry. After that pour the water to the outside of the buckets. Make those roots stretch and look for water. I drop um in 5 gallon bucks almost the same time.

About 8holes per bucket. And by starter soil do you mean I should transplant them again? I I wa under the impression they could live in the buckets throhout their cycles. noObquestn I know.

your ok in ffof,just suggesting a good myco / zym supplement to speed up the roots,they are growing now,but the roots slow down after a few weeks into flowering,I would hold back on nutes for now ,but you could benefit with a myco or zyme product,not necessary but very helpful,I make compost teas myself.5 gallons is ok,just get the roots growing,the rest will fall in place,big roots=big yields

Anytime you transplant to a way bigger pot the growth on top stalls. The plant is concentrating on filling the big pot with roots. I've found it's about a week of stall then they will take off again. Patience and they will be fine.

Ok also, if this.makes sense my bulb is sitting vertically meaning the tip of my bulb is pointing down. But the plants are on either side. Do I NEED to hang the bulb horizontally to get more growth? Or have any of you hung the bulbs vertically before? Pros and cons?
