Those are damn fine looking plants! Curious, what food are you and have you been using? NPK?

Highly recommend you stay away from the bloom foods if you want to maintain such nice healthy plants and get high yields. Bloom foods WILL work against your yields.
That is interesting. Sorta like Preparation H? It makes the problem it is suppose to solve? I would not doubt it. And I have read your article about this. If I remember it was Potassium that is over rated and against out interests for blooming?

IAC, what about just using general purpose 16-16-16 through out?

Hey UB! Thanks for the reply!

The girl on the left is Nirvana's Aurora Indica. The right plant is Blimburn Seeds Orka (Haze x WW. I must have the indica phenotype. Freebie.) They are under 440 watts of cfls in both color spectrum but more of the red spectrum bulbs. I made some 5 gal pail growing buckets by drilling out drainage holes and filling the bottom 2" with gravel for water run off and root aeration. The medium is Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I have been using a generic all purpose 8-7-6 plant fertilizer from the start but only when the plants are showing deficiencies. They have never been burned in their whole life and they have always had beautiful dark leaves. I vegged them 5 weeks until alternating nodes and switched them to 12/12. At the 5th node (in Veg) i topped both of them and it came out as more of a fim than anything because each plant now has about 6 colas that are close in size compared to the usual 1 with these indicas(at least compared to my last grow of the AI strain.) They also both have some good trichome production going and I am very excited to see what happens in another 3-4 weeks! Heres a couple more shots..

that could work...it depends on your plants too though.... Simple rule: Keep your leafs green through harvest. Green healthy leaves equate to healthy buds.... all these fools flushing their plants and turning their leafs yellow think: well I must not have flushed enough or next time i will use a cleaning solution too to get that bad taste out of the buds. ...lol when the reality is the buds taste like that because all your leafs went fucking yellow before you harvested

Vendors will sell you what they think you want, rather than what your plants really need. 16-16-16 is fine. I get great yields with a slow release 18-4-9. That's all they need from start to finish.

Why not just leave that crap to politics? No one wants that here and your ideas of me are so wrong. But, we can discuss that in politics since I do not debate. No rules. Debate has rules. Make a note. :)

And are you calling me a Texas conservative? You have not listened to a word I said. I am a Che-ist. I am Left of this milqtoast they call the Far Left.

Don't pollute Advanced Growing with your lack of sense about me.

Just list vegetables. If you need to be specific, tomatoes. I just received a report on 2 samples and on one I listed two crops for the field, the other my vegetable garden. Be sure and send off a representative sample of your final mix. TX A&M soil/water test lab charges only $15 and you get your NPK and other macros (Ca, S, and Mg), micros, conductivity, pH, as well as recommendations of what to add. Save on postage, and send off a water sample for analysis too. You can use a 12 oz bottle.

Based on one soil sample, I put out a 150 lbs. of a 18-11-5 with Zn and Fe yesterday, and now we have a nice slow rain going on. :D BTW, I bought 250 lbs. of high grade fertilizer for $52 total from a feed store. Called up the manufacturing plant's agronomist (yes, a legitimate doctorate) and talked with him about a few issues, and went about my business. The N sources of this food are ammoniacal, just what I want to get a little pH reduction with very little leaching. IOW, you can get very good professional advice and cheap but high quality products if you do your homework. Stick with the professionals in the horticultural industry.

6 hours, wow! Welcome to the thread. I'm glad to present a different approach. Others contribute some pearls of wisdom too.

They are not well meaning. It has become a cult based on feelings, control, and ideology.

Alot do. Check this out if you want a real laugh. https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/297630-advanced-nutrients-has-class.html

I'm not the be-all of gardening, I have alot to learn but when you understand that alot of salts are broken down into their respective ions BEFORE being taken within plant tissue, you must question such forum paradigms.

Thank you!

Go to Advanced, someone has just posted another "NPK help

I wish i was living in a state in the same country as you do. I would totally pay you a visit to thank you. I like very much the way you're seeing things around mj and nute compamies. I fell for the same trick. Total newb buying shiet. I believe that growing your own product is the best thing to do. I am planning to solve my economic problem selling and it sure worths the risk. Besides that i like to smoke :D. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. If possible get back to me commenting on my journal..i had some issues.. Peace

a commonly sold liquid fert that works great start to finish is dyna gro foliage pro 9-3-6. I am very happy with using this in my coco hempy setups and the only thing i really have to add is cal-mag (because of the coco)
otherwise i have some plants in soil that are loving the foliar pro. I bought the bloom and veg from dyna gro and wasn't happy with them, they're now collecting dust and this 20$ bottle has lasted me half a year so far

Welcome to the thread. Yep, Alaska makes a good food. If that's Mel Franks MJ Insiders Gardeners Guide, you got a steal and one of the best out there regarding sound, not hokey plant culture. You're gonna luv it. That was during the days when real men grew pot without all the gimmicks and snake oils.

Although not pot, my organic methods still apply regarding increasing yields - I just got thru planting "seed" potatoes, half of them now, half in a couple of weeks - reds, golds, and russets. Turned each spot with a fork, hand dug the holes 6" deep, dropped the seed in, backfilled with pure horse compost, drenched the hole with MycoApply SolubleMaxx and took a rake and raked the area smooth. Same organic principles would apply to cannabis, reason why I'm mentioning it. The earthworms are gonna have a ball, and me and Au nt Benita are gonna have a feast in a few months....with a nice after dinner smoke LOL. (Couple of truffles and a glass of Port might be fittin' too!)
Living the good life..!! That's all a man needs. I am getting a Mel Franks guide ASAP.

Fyi i'm studying like there is no tomorrow here..!! UB i'm at 90 right now, still 110 to go, but is there any link to buy the spinoutproof pots? I cant seem to find anything online and it's a solid base for a plant. Also, i've found a good low priced nute at 6-3-4, which is close to what we want..right? Also 1-3-2 for flowering..I'll find something that meets our standarts. I've understood that there is no feeding schedule. There are some basic principals as a seedling and before harvesting.( 2 weeks just adding water and nothing 2-3 days before harvesting?)-correct me if i am wrong- . I can specify if it's an N def, which is common but how and when should i feed when it comes to P? - Back to educading myself..

My question might not make sense..so what i want to say is..when should i feed the 1-3-2 solution? Mixing it with the 3-1-2? Or when i see a def?

3-1-2 All the way through. Your precious flowers need nitrogen more than phosphorus. Do a side by side and you will see for yourself.

At what low temperature does marijuana get stressed at? I have been letting the temp go down to as low as 50 degrees at night and they are still thriving. My day temp is 79 too...strong growth

and so much for going for a positive 'watershed' moment here.... irony is wasted on the ironic I guess

I would say temps below 40 at night. It is a weed after all. A 10-15 degree drop from daytime temps is what UB has said in the past.

HPS lighting only LOL i need at least one CFL so i can get off a damn pic lol

I think UB even suggested a 30 degree change. Thermoperiodism is used by grape growers too...Ya I am pretty sure UB says get it down to 60-65 and up to 80-85....lol, I am probably adding shit... Disclaimer: this is not official UB info... lol
