I ordered 2 packs, for $200 each pack....one pack had 10 seeds and the other had 11 seeds. Paper towel method to sprout.....only got 12 seeds to sprout. Pretty shitty % if you ask me.

I also did 20 Insane Seed Posse's "Cantaloupe Skunk".......got 20 out of 20 to sprout.

Also did 6 Sea of Seeds freebies to all sprout.

Dr. GreenThumb sucks......quality may be there on some strains, but there always seems to be some issues with his stuff.

Ive heard its the kill though. Should only need one of those to be the keeper hopefully, he breeds his shit well. That sucks on the bad germ rate but that can happen to the best breeder. Accidently get hit with pollen a few days too early or a little extra pollen thats in the room hits em late in flower and throws a couple less mature seeds in the bunch.

Dr Greenthumbs Bubba OG is bad ass. I bet you keep one of them.
Why would you buy 2 packs if you weren't sure you wanted the gear? Just curious.
I can't image at harvest time you saying the freebies rocked, but the bubba og sucks. lmao.

I bought 2 packs to try and fill the room...I generally expect 90% sprouting, he was no where close to that. I know the genetics are good, but at $200 a pack, I at least expect them to sprout!

I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the seeds. You must have done something right with the freebies and not the bubba og. Anyways you should find a real keeper in one of them for sure.

And I am pretty sure u don't know what you're talking about. My guess is the seeds are old....they have no vigor and the ones that made it, are growing slow. Out of the 12 that sprouted, only 7 popped up thru the soil. As I previously said, the 20 Cantaloupe Skunk all sprouted and are doing fine. As are the Sea of Seeds Freebies. Only the Bubba OG's are having problems. It is well known Dr. GT gear has sprouting issues on some strains, and I'm guessing this is one of them.

And I have no doubt what lives and makes it thru flowering will be good.....it just sucks to spend $400 for 7 viable seeds. I've bought some of his stuff previously, some was good, some was another disaster. It's very hit and miss with him.........

I grow Docs Bubba and OG. Both are real slow veggers. I would imagine a cross would also be a slow vegging plant. I have never had a Doc bean not pop. Im calling user error. Save the beans, call him. If you are not a douche he will likely replace them.

Why would you go back if you had a disaster once before? I had a disaster with Next Generation and didnt give them more money. Too many breeders out there for that.

Funny, I grow Next Generation Grape God ever other crop and normally have 100% success sprouting them.......and I wouldn't bother with contacting Dr. GT- he's such an asshole, he'd probably start screaming user error, which is his normal rant. Not worth it IMO. I just put this out there for others to know.

And why did I go back to Doc's stuff.....it's actually been a few years and I thought I'd give him another chance. But it will be my last time now.

Lol, whatever you say man. I had some seeds that I accidently created and left them in a jar for over an year in a drawer... Not in the refrigerator and 90% of my seeds sprouted just fine. If you have problems with one of the breeder's seeds don't bother wasting your money on that breeder.

I agree.......I just sprouted 5 Cherry Bomb Indica seeds, from Reeferman (who is notorious for bad sprouting) that are over 4 years old and 2 sprouted in 3 days. Go figure.........these will help make up the empty space in the room from the GreenThumb disaster..........

Some sprouted...some didnt...if it was docs fault. Just talk to him, tell him said beans didn't pop, but others did. Meaning you obviously did something right, and maybe the error was on him. But why you'd dump so much money, idk. Out of all the plants I've grown from seed. Only 1 didn't sprout, a black domina x Super Skunk freebie. And it was straight black, looked like a bad seed. All his seeds look very uniform and fine. I have no doubt they'll sprout. If some do and some don't. I'll let doc know, and hopefully he'd make it right. He seems like a good guy, just crotchety. As it would show obviously I did it right, the seeds might have just been bad. But when you pay that much money. I feel better customer service is needed more than your60 dollar seeds most people buy offer. Which the Doc seems to come through on when people complain of failed germination on seeds on most of the threads I see.

Funny though........I hear/read the opposite when people call him to complain about poor germination. He becomes very defensive and takes it all personally. I'm not up to beg for replacements and I've now started enough other things to fill the room. But to end up with so few for $400, you have to wonder how he stays in business.

Now it just sounds like you're trying to bash.
You could just call. But if not, you really cant complain. You haven't even called to say whether or not he responds. You're listening to other people. The email I used to order worked fine before.

Well, just go to his website and click the email link and you'll see it's not working. I'm not bashing, just commenting.......I already said I don't care about getting replacements, I've already sprouted other beans to move forward.

I just replied to the contact us button about the seeds I bought and a question pertaining to how I'm gonna grow em, that I've beern meaning to do for a while...Hasn't been returned yet. So the email seems to be working fine. I'll know once I get a response, or return address.
