How many plants can i grow in 120cmx120cmx200cm ??

As the title sais i have a 120cm x 120cm base grow tent and 200cm tall ... how many plants can i fit in resonably ? ?

Im growing under a 600watt 50000 lumen metal halide for veg and switching to a 600w HPS for flower. Ive got a mixture of seedlings on the go .. Pure Ak, Skunk #1, Blue Cheese, Greenhouse Cheese, LSD.

Also How good are carbon filters really because my skunk plants are making the place stink and there not even flowering yet ? Do they completely eliminate smell or just to a certain degree ?

You can grow many or few plants. What matters is whether the canopy is filled out or not.

I wouldn't even bother growing more than one strain if i only had 1x600W hps lamp.

I also think 600W MH is overkill for veg if you only have 600W for flowering. 600W in veg would provide me with enough perpetual clones for WAY bigger flowering room than 600W.

A 600W is perfect for a 120x120 tent, and IMO four mature plants in +5 gallon pot`s, but it of course all depend on the size of the plant`s, could easily do 8 smaller plants or 16 clones as well as one big plant in a scrog, agin all depends

About carbon filters, they work, for sure, really amazing how much odor they can remove, at least 99% and is a must IMO if you grow indoors with neighbors close




Do yourself a favor and add a cool hood or tube on your 400W and a strong enough ventilation for your tent/filter/cooltube, Etc a strong 5" or even better a 6"
will make your grow much more easy, with a lot less heat to fight, and with a cool hood or tube your also able to keep the light even closer to your plants and that make a hugh different

In uk i cant risk a grow bigger than 10 plants, ill keep the 8 strongest and veg till 18-20 inches and flower. Ive got a filter set up but in kinda paranoid in an apartment block. Ive got a ballast and can dim to 400 but i dont want tall stretched plants hence maybe the overkill... And reason for veg under MH.

if you feel the filter is`t enough to stop your paranoia, switch to a more Indica and less Sativa dominated strain on a more serious not, you can get some ona gel in Jar`s for them weeks your in full flowering, that will stop any escaping odor

And a MH works better for Veg as the light is in a higher Kelvin then the HPS, witch works better for flowering, in short, the plants need a light similar to spring/summer (MH= high Kelvin=+5000K most of the time 6-7K) in there vegetive stages to do best, not necessary, I seen many Veg under a HPS with good results, but the MH out preforms a HPS in Veg and give a over all more lush and green growth, in flowering the plant need the more red/yellow light (2000-4000K) to produce Bud`s, this is where the HPS kick ass, much more necessary, if you can say so, then the MH is for Veg, specially in the middle of flowering

I grow with LEDs now, but have used a 600W HPS to flower with, I did and still do Veg with T5HOs fluorescent tube`s as its plenty for Veg, plants, agin in short, need 3x the intensity in flowering to do good, but can thrive with very little in Veg, so a 400W might be over kill, tho will work Im sure, but need to be keeper at distance at first and moved down, I personally would get my hands on a few +23W CFLs in 5000K or 6500K and use em for the seedlings and first turn on the MH once I had small Veg plant`s, maybe after I got em from Cup`s to some bigger pots around week 3, that would also give me a option to start new once out side the tent and that way cut off a few week`s of the grows and maybe do a harvest more a year
