Whats up guys!
Pretty new to the forum! Been scanning the site and reading threads for a while now but have yet to post anything, so here goes;
I'm 5 weeks into my second grow, 1st grow was big buddahs super automatic sativas... lets just say I fell in love with this new hobby of mine .
Anyways, second time round I decided I wouldn't be growing autos. So I currently have 4 photo plants (all different strains) on the go at 5 weeks into veg... Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk, Barneys Tangerine Dream, Nirvana Swiss Cheese and Bomb Berry Bomb.
- biobizz all mix soil
- 5 gallon smart pots
- water going in at a ph of 6.5
- 20/4 light cycle (600 watt hps bulb, adjustable ballast working from 250w, 400w, 600w and overdrive) (first 3 weeks on 250watt, currently at 400watt)
- started feeding at week 3
- biogrow at 1ml per litre
- magne cal at 0.5-1ml per litre
- feed, feed, water, feed, feed, water is the cycle I will be running.
- roughly 4 days between waterings
From around a week old, I started having issues with pineapple chunk...it was a much lighter shade of green, almost lime green. Im currently at week 5 now and it is still a much lighter shade of green, I had a serious case with all the leaves clawing down, (which is still happening but not to the extent it was) and currently also having issues with dry crispy brown patches on leaves all over the plant, not every leaf, just random ones it would seem. This issue seems to be happening slightly on my other plants now too. Its hard to tell if it is all the same issue as they are not all showing the exact same signs of stress. I don't know if thats because they are different strains though.
Berry Bomb appears to be a very very dark shade of green in the middle of the leaves, getting slightly lighter toward the edge of the leaves, its very strange, almost as if it is being dyed . Swiss Cheese is also very dark green but doesn't seem to be showing the same leaf symptoms as the berry bomb, it is however getting dry brown patches on and the tips of the leaves at the bottom are a definite yellow colour.
I have taken some pictures to show what I mean, I hope this helps to clear things up a bit more..
Also, it is worth noting I just checked the soil ph of the girls, pineapple chunk is at 5.7 (possibly locking out phosphorus)???
Berry bomb - 5.8
swiss and tangerine are sitting in the low 6's. Not sure why I haven't checked that before and also not sure why the chunk and berry bomb are that low.. ideally I want these to be around 6.2-6.5 right?
Thanks in advance!
