Hi, im new to this whole grow thing. But im determined to get some badass budd!!:mrgreen: My set up is inside. I have a single 2ft flourescent light. But i also let my plants get some natural light by putting them outside for half the day. I have two plants in a single pot that is about 6" by 6" inches. If anyone can help after they get up sum size that would be very appreciated. The soil is miracle grow and it is 10-15-10.

Glad to hear yo have something started. You will of course want to put those plants nto seperate pots before thier roots become entangled, no one has taught them how to stay of their own side of the pot. The Miracle Grow soil with nutrients is , I believe, what GK (aka SeeMoreBuds ) used for the plants in his book, Marijuan Buds For Less. He did not have to use any additional nutrient, he just watered them properly. He got 8oz of bud from three female plants using 8 -42 watt cfl's (compact Flourescent Lights) Soo... you have two plants in soil, which you will need to put in seperate pots, you are using t-12 or t-8 flourescents temporarily while you do some research and you are hand watering them??
How much space are you planning on using to grow in, what kind of a budget are you looking at. VV:blsmoke:

Welcome..If possible do as much sun as you can...then to the spa(lights)... The 2 in 1 thing oh well whats done.. In future 1 plant 1 pot. Miracle grow. AAAAAAAH! Watch out, don't use pre-nuted w/out experience, they can burn easy.. The 10-15-10....You need a higher N for vegging N is the 1st #...sorry if you already knew that..about a 20...
your's is more a flower nute, Higher P, 2nd #.. Don't get too deep trying to get death weed...slow & careful = strong healthy plant, then you do the flowering right and YEAH... can't flower a stick....
Good luck:mrgreen::mrgreen::joint:

Yea t-12 and yea i water them whenever tha topsoil is getting dry. And tha space im looking at is outside because my brothers probation officer is supposed to be coming to check the house in about a week or two. And if i do decide to grow inside i have plenty off money so that i can have any kind of light or anything that i need. the space is 6 foot by 6 foot. so i think that will be big enough.

There are ways to tell when your plants need water, the top soil being dry ain't one of them, its the water getting to the roots that ios important, you want youir soil to dry out somewhat, so the new roots have to go looking for water. GK says the best way is get a 'feel' for your plants. Next time you water them, make sure you get some run off, and then pick up the pot, that is what it feels like after you just watered it. Now wait to water it again until the pot feels light and dry. Another way is to use a moisture meter, commonly available at the bog box stores, I bought one at Wally world for like $4.00.
Generally, you should be able to put a plant for every square foot of space inthe grow area. And before anyone chooses to tell me I know you can put four/ sq ft. I have that many on my table, you need room to work around those plants. In order to do that you would need to do some reading and studying. All of the inormation is available here on riu. VV

About two years now, relatively new at it. Why, did you have a question about my answers?? The link to my grow journals is in my signature, feel free to visit them. VV

You have to be careful, though, with folks that sound like they know it all, the Marijuanistas, started growing yesterday giving out advice today.lol I did a lot of reading, deciding what and how, most of the information I used came from right here at riu. Not quite two years ago, and I think at that time we had about 500 members, it was just as easy to get good information then as you can now, several of the knowledgable folks like widow maker, pot roast, Al B Fuct, etc. posted extensive information Like 101 already asked questions, a grow journal with pictures, Hydro Growing, and every once in a while GK would drop bye to tell us about a new project like the book he wrote, Marijuana Buds For Less.
What I did was follow the mod's. I would click on thier name, go to thier profile and find the threads they started having to do with growing and read them from start to finish. It takes less time to read a 'good thread' then it does to post a question and what for an answer. If I found some thing that helped me, I tried to say thanx for the info, seemed like a short time and I had several hundred posts, not many of them were instructions on growing, most of them were about the 'physical plant' the 'set-up'. Well enough history, don't know where that came from, just felt right.
Our current guru of soil grows is DirtBagBrian ( B. Thc+ r&d) he has forgotten more than I know about the plants, you will see him driving the short bus around or you could just look him up in the Member List and follow his Threads, always room on the bus for another passenger, just tell him I sent ya, VV

One way to post those pictures right in your thread, if that is what you mean, is to go advanced>scroll to manage attatchments>brings up a Window where you can Browse and Upload. Close this window>Preview Post, they will show up as thumbnails at the bottom of your post. Submit Reply. If you mean help you when we see the picture........then ignore what I just said.lol VV

You can put them out anytime you are ready to now. If you do then bury a lttle of that stem, maybe inch or so, they are getting a little stretched from the light conditions, and burying a little of the stem will help to stabilize them. If you leave them inside you may want to give them a little support while the stem gets stronger. I use skewers, like you would use for making shish kabob, cost about $1.00 for a hundred, easy to make the length you need, and a roll of wire tie, also about $1.00. SOme split a straw and wrap that around the stem until it strengthen and then remove the straw. VV
