What size should my plants be before I transplant them into 5 gallon buckets from solo cups?
I dont have 1 gallon or 3 gallon pots/buckets so im transplanting from solo cups straight to 5 gallon so I'm pretty sure I want a nice root mass before I do this correct? These are my biggest 3 plants as of yesterday, they should be dry in 3 days before my next watering and i was going to transplant them then. Think there will be enough roots? the strain is barneys farm critical kush. this picture was yesterday when they are 2 weeks old from sprouting. thanks

Heard nothing but good things about that Critical Kush. What lights and etc you using. Are you doing a Journal, hope so, Keep us informed. I've had some pretty big ones in solo cups before they got root bound but they should be fine.:joint:

Whats with the above post? lol

Ya man You can really transplant at any time. With the size they are now I would be checking the roots. You see emm near the bottom. transplant. Dont need emm getting root bound.

I go from solo to 5 gal every time. im currently using the shallow/wide 5 gal pots. im switching to deep/tall 5 gal pots my next cycle. its all trial and error for the most part in growing.

Idk, I've seen people get some pretty big plants in solos alone. I'd give em another week. I'm never in a rush to repot. Unles I'm starting in a pill bottle, they work great for seedlings.
