Most are. This is a Blueberry x Thai Skunk by DinaFem. I believe this is an F1.
What week of flowering were the CottonCandy in? Just curious how far into flowering they were before the nannas showed up. I wouldnt give up on that strain just yet. I have seen many a strain pop out nannas in late flowering indoors and also seen those same strains never show a nanna whatsoever in outdoor grows. I grew all the same strains this year, 4 or 5 different crosses. I had a grow going indoors and I had one going outdoors...again, all the same strains. With the outdoor grow the plants were absolutly perfect....not a nanna anywhere on any of them. On the indoor grow I had two of the 5 strain crosses show nannas in late flowering..on one cross the nannas showed up in week 7...bummed me out but the good news is that only 2 out of 4 of that cross nannad up...and light and on one of the other crosses I never saw the nannas until I was actuually trimming one of the plants recently...at any rate...they showed nannas so late that the entire grow was not affected whatsoever. So there is life after nannas....and the weed is awesomely potent. So IMO it was a sucess especially since outdoors they preformed flawlessly!!!

In fact Stew...you saw the indoor pics...those are the girls I am talking about. I also posted the outdoor pics on the outdoor forum "show and tell 2013"...I think pg 530 and again like 567 or something.

So how far along was she??

She has plenty of time left. Pre-swell there were nanners... If it was later I wouldn't give a fuck. I didn't wanna chop down mature plants with a shit ton of premie seeds from that herm plant and clones of the plant.

ALL the clones had nanners on them... None were shedding pollen yet. and I didn't notice them yesterday so they must have still been green and didn't catch my eye at the time.

I looked over everything else in the tent and it's all nanner free.

I'm chalking it up to a bad seed or my temp drop for the numerous blueberry strains I have going.

Yo Stew sup?? Got that Heirloom going?
I got one landrace strain coming up - Wild Thailand
World of Seeds Bank - Wild Thailand

Way of cropping: Outdoor/indoor
Race: Pure race obtained from Ko Chang(Thailand)
Genotipe: 100% sativa
High: Less than 1.5 m indoor/ until 3 meters outdoor
Wide: Depending on prune. Some branched without prune
Growing time: 1-2 weeks(indoor)
Harvest time: 75-80 days indoor/last November outdoor
Resistance to mushrooms: High because belongs to wet clime
Resistance to plague: Depends on the plague.
Irrigation tolerancy: High
Yield: 350 gr per m2 indoor/ 450 - 600 gr per plant outdoor

Medicinal value: Average (medium content in CBD). Aplication like an antiemetic and in treatment of intraocular pressure in glaucoma

Smell: Sweet, intense
Flavour: Fruitysweet
Effects: Energetic, long life effect.

THC Level: 22.3% measured upon the rest of cannabinoids.(taking an account THCV too)
9.7 % measured upon the rest of organic substances belonging to buds like: aminoacids, sugars, terpenoids, vegetal hormones, and cannabinoids (determined by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry)

Pure landrace coming from the islands of Ko Chang (Thailand). Is one of the varieties with the highest content in THC of the world. It is loved by Thailand croppers who take it to Bangkok affording the hardest law of this country.

Is one of the varieties more productive in Thailand, maybe because of being one genetic variant produced by those expert croppers, because of it, it has a relativy short harvesting time.
Its smell and flavour will close you Asia, and its effects will take you to the mysterious temples of Bangkok.
That should turn into something decent to cross.... Not sure with what yet and who's getting pollinated.

Mostly regular seeds getting popped next time around.. Going to get a small 2'x3'x3' tent for the males to be flowered in. and it will NOT be in the same room as the tent(s) for growing the rest.
I'm still working out some details about it all but there's another tent involved as well as the closet I am currently using as grow room storage(Basically empty boxes I used to use for drying buds and all my nutes.

I've got another closet I have to clean out and use for all my nutes and shit. that way the whole thing is opened up.
I plan to keep super cropped mothers in this one, I had my males in, until they are too big and then flower them and start over with a vegged clone of whatever strain it is. I will put the air cooled hood in there with a 400w MH, wrap the whole thing in mylar and add a bunch of 4' work lights T12 to brighten it up a bit more.
To keep them short I will take all the tops that pop up like I did with mine this time around.

I am getting a 4'x4' tent I think for my veg. And keeping 1 400w setup for that as well.

Anyways I am fuckin stoned and rambling.

Bed time. Hey Chronic. let me know what you were talking about. I am confused and I just wanna make sure I'm not being stupid here. lol

A MESSAGE FOR EVERYONE:

Tomorrow I am going to be doing all the research I didn't do tonight on my upcoming strains.

I'll make it easy on myself by figuring out which phenotypes are going to work together. :)

I have a few ideas:

[Cotton Candy x Blue Dream] x Blue Dream(see if the herm trait is there first. and if not I'll have to check the next gen to see if it skips.)

JillyBean x LA Confidential

Bubba Kush x Night Terror OG

Qwerkle x Starbud SISTER

Blackberry Kush x Sour Amnesia

Critical HOG x Green Crack(Just for the name Critical Crack HOG. lol)

There's more. I'm tired. I will explain why I am looking at those there. OBVIOUSLY things will change depending on which phenotypes I end up with. but I will let you know what research I have done and all that later on this morning.

PEACE

Dam...yup, thats much to early. That would spell trouble for the rest of the grow for sure. Sorry to hear bout that! The indoor grow I ran this summer of mixed crosses, well I ran them indoors just as a test run but I added a shit ton of stress to those girls....I ran the room hot, kept them in small containers, starved them for water and played with the lights ETC...just tortured those poor things. I started stressing them early, when they were leaving seedling stage and going into veg and continued with the stress into three weeks of flower. I wanted to see if they would hermie early during pre plower and show balls and pistils but intrestingly enough they sexed out as true females and true males. Even after all that punishment I put them through, the few that threw out nannas didnt do it until very late into flowering with one to two weeks left before finish.

Its easy to miss a girl with nannas...sometimes they are buried kinda deep in there and can be difficult to spot. I had one plant slip undetected. I didnt see the nannas until just recently when I was trimming her up with a final trim. She had already been curing for close to 60 days and I had already given her a once over. So ya...sometimes those nannas hide themselves pretty good. She had to of thrown those nannas out late as well as the reast of the grow was unaffected.

Another thing to note is that I have bought ceeds from some of the most credible breeders and seen thier ceeds do the same thing into late flowering. It really is not that uncommon for plants to do that and what I have found is that there are so many things that can stress a strain/plant and she will react to it by expressing nannas. Sometimes I cant even pinpoint it to anything specific because my grow rooms are designed for optimum grow conditions and I still see this occurance from time to time and yet I can take the same ceeds and grow them outdoors and not see a single problem/nanna from start to finish. Soooo, IMO when I see that, I clear the ceed as a success. In my experience, Ceeds that are genetically prone to hermie tendancies will hermie regardless if they are grown indoors or outdoors....nothing you do or dont do will stop them from doing it.....plain and simple they are going to hermie no matter what!

Breeding is allot of work. Allot more work then just growing bud. I do most of my breeding outdoors and when I do it I have already selected the strains that are going to recieve pollen and from which male as to confine that grouping to one area and if its a breeding season for me then I have multiple groupings spread out over miles of terrain to avoid wind driven cross pollination. The result is a grip of bud for personal use with a grip of ceeds for the same, personal use. Sometimes I collect pollen and save it and maybe brush a little on a indoor girl...just a branch. I pollenated one flower only and it produced over 100 viable ceeds....so you can imagine what two full plants fully pollenated will produce in ceed numbers....thats right...thousands!!!!! Another thing that really helps out with breeding projects is to use the most stable genetics you can get your hands on....if you start with stable strains, you usually end up with stable F1 hybreed crosses. Now when you start backcrossing and cubing for selected phenotypes and genotypes while trying to keep the strain your working on homozygous ( true breeding ) that gets quite involved and takes ,in some cases several years, allot more work.

would you wanna keep it 50/50 mix or try to work on some dominance either way
I think I am gonna try to make a few 50/50s but I will have to look something up about it.

I'm sure once I BX that it will go whichever direction the pollen donor came from. SO if the pollen parent is indica. it would be mostly indica.

I don't know if that is right. I am waiting for someone who has more knowledge to chime in. lol

Yeah I've read all of that already. I spent a few months just reading up on breeding before I even collected my first pinch of pollen.

I was not going into such a complex situation blind. lol..

Most people think it's as easy as just the initial pollination.(The easy part, put pollen on the plant. lol)
I WISH! haha I'd be rich already. lol....

I am going to work the seeds a bit more to see if the progeny have a herm trait. because if they don't and can be cleansed of it, then why not make the cross I planned to make in the first place? lol
