I have a 6" x 42" closet set up for autoflower grow. Started first seeds mid Oct. under a 600 watt grow lamp panel (e-bay ledgrowlightmanufacturer). I was concerned because the seedlings seem to be stretching too much, but they turned out ok. But i ordered a 45 watt blue panel anyway to help future seedlings along as well as supplemental lighting. http://www.yescomusa.com/45w_LED_Grow_Light_Indoor_Growing_225_Ultrathin_Blue.html
Today I added a 400w panel. It is a MARSII panel from e-bay also. Slightly less than $600 in lights all told.
A word on my opinion on the LED panels that I have. The 600w panel is definitely doing what i wanted. All the grow in the pics are from the 600 watt panel as i just added the 400 watt today and the blue panel has only been in play for about week and last half of that is was sitting over the new babies.
The second panel is the 45w blue panel. I am not sure how this is working yet. The two seedlings it is sitting over just popped yesterday. This panel as well as the new 400w panel both have 5 watt leds vs. the 3 watt leds in the 600w. The 45w panel is just leds on an etched board. It is very light and has no fans. It doesn't generate much heat and doesn't seem to need fans. The site listed has it at $69+ dollars, and I am thinking of ordering another one or two of different spectrum (all red or red/white combo) for more supplemental lighting. I like the light weight and lack of fan. Easy to hang. BTW, my cheap little light meter was about 1200 lumens @ about 6 inches (if i recall distance correctly). Both of the other two panels pegged it. It maxes at 2000 lumens.
The newest panel is the 400 watt i added today. When i plugged it in, It seems to me it was brighter than the 600w panel. This panel also has the 5 watt leds, covers 430~440nm, 450~475nm 620~630nm, 650~670nm, and white, Real IR spectrum: 730nm per the advertised specs.
So, theoretically I have 1045 watts of juice. My thoughts are for anyone looking to purchase is to look for panels with the 5 watt leds instead of the 3 watts, but, look at where i am with the grow pics and remember that was done under the 600w panel with the 3 watt leds.
