Newb's first grow C99 X 2

Hi there and thanks for checking this out! I am a new grower and I decided to start a journal. I'm a little late in the game for starting a journal, but that's ok. Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated.

Strain: Female Seeds C99
Soil: Straight FFOF
Water: From the tap
Lights: 400W MH/HPS. Also used 8 5000K CFL's for seedling stage
Growing in a 32" x 32" x 60" Tent
Ventilation: S&P TD100X plus ducting
Container: 3 Gal Nursery pots

Today marks exactly 3 weeks from when I popped the seeds! So far I am pleased with the progress. :bigjoint:Lemme know what you think.

looking great! i just harvested a couple last month. get ready for the stretch! i knew they would stretch like crazy but i was really surprised. one was five feet with 4 colas and the other over four. great plant to grow and the aroma is extra low and they smell great, like lemon pineapple. GL

Weekly update!! Today marks one month from when I started the germination process so I am calling it their one month birthday. I FIMed (and hopefully didn't butcher it) with some light LST and when I did the bottoms bushed out quite a bit. They have recovered from the shock and are now starting to grow vertically again with TONS of new growth. My girls are currently sitting at about 7-8 inches tall. I'm pleased with their progress and maybe one or two more weeks and I will flip them.

They look great man. Very sativa.. How is the smell? non existent I would guess...

I flowered mine at 10 inches and it has finished around 45 inches.. your looking at 4 -5 x stretch with cindy... so you need to feed her heavy for the stretch phase.. plenty of N and some cal/mag if you have it or epsom salt and tap water..

But they look very good, can't wait to see how they go..

What is up my friends! Time for another update. So today I went to my local hydroponics store and bought some nutes. I got Cutting Edge Solutions 3 part MGB because, frankly, it was cheap and I'm poor. It seems to have all the right stuff in it so it should work out fine. I also swung by Lowe's and picked up a Brita water filter. Improved my tap water tremendously. I gave my girls their first half strength feeding today and they seemed to like it. They are currently sitting at about 9 inches. I measured the distance from dirt to bulb at my lamps maximum height and it came out to ~40 inches so I think I will flip this upcoming Tuesday. As for smell, it is pretty non-existent unless I'm handling the plants, then it is a citrusy smell, but not overpowering at all. If I don't touch them, then there is almost zero odor. Also, we got Pistels.

Cindy takes well to bending also, at least mine years ago responded within hours. Excellent strain, very trippy high. 7-10 potency

when you flip keep her under the MH for the first 2 weeks. This will drastically reduce the stretch. Then HPS after that until last 3 days. And then MH for the last 3 days and also an additional 3 day 100% dark, then chop.

Sooooo. These babies are bushing out like crazy. Check out the difference 3 days made. I punched some holes in the lip of my pots and am using twine to bend the stalk over. I figure that a little LST would be good for them and wouldn't you know it I was right. I also tuck the big fan leaves below the nodal growth to try to allow them to get as much light as I can. Started them on nutes as I said before and so far so good. Gonna flip tonight after I get home from work. I plan on following tikitoker's advice on keeping them under the MH for the first 2 weeks before swapping to the HPS. I also germinated a Lemon Kush and we're gonna see what happens when we do a 12/12 from seed on that baby. You know, for science. Worst case scenario, I lose a freebie seed.

Hey,

wow there looking good :D

When you say our gonna do 12/12 straight from seed .... Like not even letting it get its first fan leaves .?

No no, I'll let her get her first five bladed fan leaves under my CFL array first on a 24/0, then put her in with the others. I just put her solo cup in there with the Cindy's so I can take the picture with all of them together. :)

Looks awesome! Pulling up the chair to see how you do. IMO you don't need to use MH first 2 weeks of flower if you feed her properly and super cropping to minimize the stretch. If you are looking for yield put them on straight HPS on 12/12. You could even add a MH or CFLs with 6500K color on the side if you want.

Two days into flower! I changed my mind and decided to go with the HPS from the beginning. They're took a couple of days to adjust but now they're starting to pick it up. I got a feeling these two are gonna fill up my tent haha. My Lemony Kushness is currently sitting under 6 5000K CFL's and is two days from sprout.

Day 5 of flower and cousin business is a boomin'! The stretch has started and we'll see how high they grow. They are currently growing at about two inches per day. Shits like bamboo, I swear. One girl is getting lanky and the other is getting bushy. Genetics I suppose haha. I over fed a bit and the tips are slightly burnt but nothing serious. Lemony Kushness is almost a week old and is doing well. One or two more weeks and into the flowering tent she goes!

Happy post-Thanksgiving for my fellow Americans and happy today for everyone else! My girls are growing like crazy. Lanky is almost 2 ft tall now and Bushy is about 5 inches behind but is starting her growth spurt. 10 days into flowering as of today.
