Today the time change kicked in... I just set my light timers back one hour so my girls will get 13 hours of light 12 dark today.

The other option was to let them turn off like normal and then change the timers to give them an extra hour of dark.

Every year I bitch about this worthless setting clocks back, waste of time.

And I bought new timers I hadn't yet set, so was doing it manually. And therefore, plants got an extra hour of darkness in order to move 12/12 schedule permanently.

Well, at least til' Spring. Maybe I should just ignore this ridiculous charade, and leave clocks as is:

Then everyone will be an hour late for 6 months.:bigjoint:

I always miss daylight savings time. All my clocks are on my phones so i dont have to set anything back. As for the plants im leavin em cause i can still go there at the times i wanted.

Lights came on an hour 'earlier', and will go off an hour 'earlier'. If I feel like setting the timer back an hour I'll do it tomorrow, plants will get an extra half hour or so of darkness.

Uh, why would you change your timers? The plants are still getting 12 hours of light/dark regardless.

Don't change your timers for daylight savings. Leave them how they are.

Now your lights turn on at different times. Get used to it.

I have to change mine to coincide with my work schedule. if I didn't, I would miss my am checking time of my flower room.

Like Demon, I'm changing mine to coincide with work and other schedules. That extra hour means the lights go off an hour earlier than I'm used to being up and I can't check in before lights-out.

imho it's better to have an extra hour of dark than it is light, so that's how I'm managing it after I get home today.

I change the light timers because I don't want them going off an hour early and displaying the wrong time... pretty much common sense I thought.
