Bubble (ice) hash expert needed.. the Aficianado cannasouer type....

So I have to admit I am not really into hash that much, but only because I really just love smoking buds, however I do think that most people into making really GREAT hash, and those that are into making killer Georgeous buds see things from the same persepective. Anyways I made what I think is my best hash yet, and I just have a quick question so I can understand the differences in the judging the quality by more than just the high. So I made some Ice water Hash using some really nice moonshine haze and deadman og. Trimmed em up, through away the leaves and stems, and just wanted to keep nice clean buds to make this hash with. So to skip ahead a bit it fucking came out great.. I I only stirred gently for about 10 minutes, starting with fresh frozen buds, clean water, the fucking works man. I ran it in two batches, but the buds were mixed to gether, because I like to mix strains together. I could have gotten much more hash I am sure, but I did it in two gentle batches to try and only get the fucking best outcome. I kept everthing below the 120 micron, and everything below the 73. Now what was strange to me, and this is one of the two things that I am trying to understand is what I kept at the bottom of the 25 micron bag was darker than what my 73 bag had in it. The 73 was MUCH blonder. I mean nice day at the fucking beach blonde. Fucking looked great, they both did really, just the finer grade was slightly darker. So isn't the greener ligher grade hash supposed to be better quality? Also I noticed after they dried and cured for aobut 3 weeks, the larger micron grade is still much blonder. It also is much drier, more powdery. I can cruch the little chunks by squeezing between my fingers and it turns to what looks exactly like dried kief. The darker but finer micron grade is fucking SKICKY as fuck and GOOEY, but dry.. Like when you grab some and I try to squeeze it, its already melting in my fingers.. So fucking long ass story short, I actually think the powdery 73 micron bag hash was actually MUCH stronger of a high, then when smoking the slightly darker MELTY 23 micron bag has.. So just wanted to know what the hash "Aficienado's" on the board thoughts were, and seeing if I can gain some more knowledge into the subject. I grow some great buds in my opinion so naturally I want to make the best hash I can and understand everything about it, even though I don't do it that often at all. Please no grammer whores... You know your out there and this post is fucking driving you nuts....

Im mainly just trying to understand how to judge the quality and grade. I always thought the finer micron was the higher grade, but the way mine came out it was the opposite. Then also trying to understand why one grade was powdery like kief when I break it up, and the other grade was very oily and sticky melty goodness. But to me the high was much stronger on the more powdery blonde hash, verses the slightly darker oily.

I know that there are small trichomes that are not quality when compared to those the size of 160-70 microns.

The best hash will usually come from the 73 bag (or possibly 90 if you use one) because that's the bag that catches the majority of whole, mature, trichome heads
The 25 bag mainly catches smaller, immature or broken heads, along with other contaminants.

Your 75 & 45 bags will always catch the best trichomes for bubble hash. Next time save your material & do another 15 min agitate & wash gently you will get more trichs but keep it all separate because each wash degrades a bit more. Sometimes I will do up to 3 washes of the same material. Blonder the better of course but save up your greenish 25, 90, & 120 shit to bake up some heady cookies or brownies. Oh actually some of my 90 hash was smoke-able...size of trichs really is strain & harvest time dependant but your most desirable trichomes are between 50 and 100 microns and btw I was never a hash hound myself until I had some. I never even knew about concentrates until I made my own.
