bud rot question, help quickly please!

so i think i got a case of the bud rot on a part of 1 cola on my plant. luckily, its towards the top so it isnt doing to much damage atm. anyways, my plant is at a stage where it could be harvested now and the smoke would be fine, but could also let it wait another few days atleast. should i just harvest that one cola (if thats even possible to just harvest one part of the plant), or cut my losses and harvest the whole plant? Those are the signs. A weird looking leaf coming out of the cola. Get that out of there immediately. Don't smoke it, make a few brownies. Keep an eye on the rest of the plant.

It looks like it might be it, kinda hard to tell with that one dead leaflet. When a bud is rotting youll see the leaf tips that are sticking out twist up and look gnarly..if you pull on them slightly they come right out because theyre rotted at the base. If you wanna be on the safe side, cut that bud off from about 6 inches below where the rot is. Check the rest of the plant and watch it closely, if you dont see anything else let it finish. But if that is rot there is usually more to follow so keep checking.

Thanks for the replies guys, on the left of that picture there's some browning, and that whole section is basically rotted, so that's def rot. So it only seems to be effected right there, the very top looks fine tho, so I can I smoke the top part that doesn't look affected?

cut it now, cut the buds into two by two chunks, throw away anything thats brown. dry and cure the green buds in normal fashion! its not your fault! carry on young grower...
