Clone only was the F1. but even the seeds of a clone only are the same as the HSO version IMO.
I'll find out cause I have a seed of a BD clone only plant that was selfed.

Because many of the traits you see are a result of a hybrid genotype and you could get nonhybrid genotypes that will be phenotypically different in the offspring.
I should've said that. But you did whilst I was at work. I'm glad you know whats up. I'm gonna start growing my males in poor quality soil.

The only way to accomplish this is through selection and generational inbreeding (selecting the homozygous offspring to be parents for the next generation).
this is what I am doing is it not?

Even though there is only one official offspring and not 2 separate plants from seed.... I'm crossing S1 and S1 to make S2 which would hold more traits of the parents than the previous generation..... Right? lol... I am making my self sound really dumb right now.

As the original mother cuts are not true breeding because of their polyhybrid nature the ambrosia breeding team is taking them though a 2 time self pollination process(s2) to obtain homogeneity, heavily stress testing a selection before they ever meet the pollen studs. For those who do not understand the “selfing” process it means a female plant is chemically sex reversed allowing it to pollinate itself resulting in S1 seed generation-One common misconception is that this process will result in identical phenos exactly like their mother plant -however in reality recessive traitscan still be hiding with variation occurring among sibling seeds so this process must be repeated with the adequate s1 seed to achieve more homogeneous s2 seeds. Stress tested s2’s of excellent mothers are breeding gold as they are homozygous for all traits seen in the s1 individual selection. Ambrosia Seed Company uses only proven stable genetics as parents and the offspring grown from their seeds show it. Sex Reversed Females Undergoing ‘Selfing’ Process

Notably ‘selfing’ is how the first feminized seeds were made but modern fem seeds usually aren’t s1′s for many reasons, mainly because of higher seed quantities and more vigorous offspring produced in reversed sex outcrosses (feminized f1’s) A self pollinated plant is passing on very specific information-those traits can be good ones like taste or structure or bad ones in the case hermaphroditism. We are not using the selfing process to make our seed stock, but rather using the selfing process to select elite breeding mothers.

I've been trying to learn more about genetics because the issue of backcrossing and stability. You shouldn't be able to stablize a hybrid genotype but I've seen people cross C99s and the offspring looked like the parents...

I've seen the more you inbreed the more uniform and homogenous the growth becomes. But each generation declines in potency but yield increased. The secret is to know whhat generation to backcross to bring that vigor back.

No you are on track. You'll have more homogenous growth maybe a variation here and there. But you'll see Dom traits of the parents. Also remember traits skip a generation.

crossing s1 x s1 is an f1 i thought. only way to get s2 is to self the s1.
Which is what I am doing on one plant that we are talking about.
I took Blue Dream S1 [fem] pollen(that I collected from a sister clone) and put it to a bud of my Blue Dream S1.

I've read that using the pollen on any clone of the same plant is the same as selfing because they are exact genetic replicas.

So this should result in a S2 Blue Dream.
