The Car Talk Thread

Right, I think it just have a major difference in opinion. See I think Saturn is total junk, and consumers as a whole would agree, as they are no longer in business.

I chose the Tahoe for looks. That's about it. For me, a car is a car is a car. I've loved the way Tahoes look for a decade now, but I always ended up buying something different, like a Range Rover or an ML 550 or an Expedition or an Audi A6 Turbo or a Lexus ES350, this time I decided to go with a Tahoe. And seeing as how I will only hold on to it for maybe 2 years, I figured, why not? See what Im sayin? For me getting this Tahoe is no big deal, I will likely get a MB G63 for my next SUV, or maybe if will get the FX50 F sport... who knows.. See what Im sayin?
ya well sell the tahoe and get one of those other SUVs you listed and mod that. you'll be way better off with any of those others.

i drove a ford lighning a good few years ago, and honestly was left less then impressed..
they arent bad if you can get a good deal on one. its just a somewhat fast f150. they'll keep up with camaros and such so they arent too bad for a stock truck. again if you can get a good deal on one. me personally i dont think ill ever find myself buying any trucks fast or not. not my cup of tea.

The only way I'd ever own a truck is to trailer horses.
alright ya if i had to trailer something like a race car i could see buying a truck but that would be it and it wouldnt be modded other than things to help it tow better.

For taking trash to the dump a truck is the way to go, for an off road drive like that I'd bet my old Subaru Impreza Outback wagon would have done the job just fine. That thing was fun offroad.
That's a damned cool tree.

In my opinion that tree is even cooler than the big redwoods and sequoias.

Can one get that Outback with a MT? I'm pretty disappointed with the disappearance of the clutch pedal from America's showrooms.
My otherand admittedly aesthetic gripe with Subies is that nasty-sounding and less-than-miserly opposed 4. They did a joint project with Toyota, and I was so hoping to see a straight 6. No; opposed 4. Ew.

i didn't know about that lil project till i was watching a fairly recent episode of top gear, and jeremy was test driving, what i first thought to be that new subbie, the insert three letters here model, but no, lo and behold it was the new yota.. he was talking about loving the new boxer 4 subbie heart in it, which is why i was originally confused, not to mention it looked like the insert 3 initials here subbie model as well imo..
those boxters sure have an odd engine note.. i posted a video the other day, and linked with it was some 500 hp sti, so naturally, i opened the video.. i lasted all of about 20 seconds as the sound was so off putting.. my dog was howling, the cat was a meowing.

Mine did, dunno if they're still available. I wanted a wagon because I needed to have more room but was damned if I was buying something built on a truck frame or something that looks like it was built on a truck frame (perhaps an even more egregious sin). I wanted a manual transmission because I like driving, and I'm not a fan of front wheel drive. So I could get a Subbie or something German and I couldn't afford a 3 series wagon.
