Goddamn that is an amazing car. That engine sound. I just had multiple eargasms :)
That's derrick Warwick navigating.. he's an old f1 driver, but is mostly known for his multiple wins in 24 hours of le mans, in a Porsche of course.. :)
And even he kept saying how damned good that thing sounded..
I liked the other dude talking about the windshield wiper and German mechanics as well.. not sure who he was though..

go look up performance parts for that body lol
tahoe? I have. I can get it up to about 550hp with bolt-on parts. For about $6500 total. I can also drop the truck 3 inches for $700. I can wrap the truck for about $2500. And beef up the already beefy Bose system for another $800, including an iPad mini head unit.

Im still failing to see your point of knocking a tahoe. help me understand where you are coming from.

you can drop the body but thats about all you can do to make it handle good. it'll be somewhat fast in a straight line with LOTS of work and money but ide still be worried about it flipping over even in a low speed turn :p

we are talking about performance here idk why your giving my prices on ipad head units and bose systems lol

either way its gonna handle like a boat and as heavy as it is even with full weight reduction its gonna be heavy as hell. gotta think of the power to weight ratio.
bottom line is a tahoe is far from a performance based platform and other then it having a LS based engine its really got nothing going for it other then it can fit a lot of groceries in it.

Not true. Belltech does not drop the body. Look into that. Also, Eibach makes some excellent anti-sway bars that increase cornering by a good 15-20%. I have 305/22 - nice wide tread, increasing handling. (though not by much)

i don't disagree that Tahoe is far from performance, but I am still having a hard time understanding why you and the other fellow immediately laugh it off without knowing the full story

because thats a odd platform for performance modification. there are way way more choices to choose from that are better choices. without a doubt you can make it somewhat fast but with enough time and money but you can do that with anything. im all about the under dog thing myself but there are better choices even if you already owned it. by the time you get it done it will of been cheaper and easier to do something else. i built a 2000 pound 400hp 96 saturn sl2 that would tear most street cars to pieces but in the long run it would have been WAY cheaper to do just about anything else.

so i agree it CAN be worth something BUT again there are way better ways to go. honestly just about anything else would be a better way to go.

Right, I think it just have a major difference in opinion. See I think Saturn is total junk, and consumers as a whole would agree, as they are no longer in business.

I chose the Tahoe for looks. That's about it. For me, a car is a car is a car. I've loved the way Tahoes look for a decade now, but I always ended up buying something different, like a Range Rover or an ML 550 or an Expedition or an Audi A6 Turbo or a Lexus ES350, this time I decided to go with a Tahoe. And seeing as how I will only hold on to it for maybe 2 years, I figured, why not? See what Im sayin? For me getting this Tahoe is no big deal, I will likely get a MB G63 for my next SUV, or maybe if will get the FX50 F sport... who knows.. See what Im sayin?
