Auto Has Flowers But No Trichs

My auto is about 5 weeks old and has been flowering for about a week now. Problem is that I see no evidence of trichs forming and I've looked with a loop. I did a search to see how soon trichs begin to show after flowering begins but I just keep coming up with general flowering info. Does anyone know what to expect in regards to trich formation in an autos life-cycle?
 
Alot of people are going to critic the ruderalis, yet as of late the ruderalis has been increasing in flavour potency and production. Give her time and sugar will explode all over her which strain are you growing
 
it's not ruderalis
its cannabis

trichs will just pop up one day usually around week 3-4 but have had them show at preflower
 
Thanks for the replies. Autos work for me - small grow area and limited time. Potency isn't an issue - I'm a lightweight.
 
dude potency is right up there with most photo's
and the high CBD accelerates the THC intake so it hits you like a freight train
 
these pakistan ryders i'm growing are so low potency the shad leaves are frosted to their tips... sucks.. IDK if i'm even gunna smoke it
 
People dissing auto's haven't smoked good shit, or they just suck at growing and their first auto grow came out shit and they ran back to the status quo'.

Not bragging, but my shit makes anything within 150 miles look like hay.

Do you really think that they haven't been backcrossed until the only trait left is the autoflowering trait.
I'll give you the fact that there are way too many breeders out there not selectively breeding the proper traits.
They're just looking to get an auto out there to cash in.

Better companies grow more plants, are super selective, and breed top notch strains.

Auto's are not a 50-50 mix of a high potency photo period plant, and a Ruderalis.
They are breeding a TRAIT INTO a traditional Photo Period plant which takes far more time and effort to get right than most would comprehend.

dinafem original amnesia auto use low ppm's the plant stays small but will get so frosty
its not the biggest yielder but its some fire
my buddies were arguing who would go in the store
neither wanted to so they just went back home >.<

There is no difference in timing of trichome production between autos and reg plants.

The answer to your question is that you're too early.

Very few plants start making trichomes the first week or two of flowering, and early trichomes aren't fully formed yet, anyway.

Give this another 2-3 weeks and go back and take another look and I think you'll be satisfied that trichs are forming.

For the ones saying "ruderalis genetics", the fact is that ruderalis plants share about 95%+ of their genetics with ALL other cannabis plants, including wild hemp plants, cultivated hemp plants, indica and sativa-type drug strains.

Of course there are bad auto strains out there, but the better of the commercial autoflowers have been inbred with conventional drug strains now to the point where they retain minimal/negligible genetics from ruderalis plants. So its a mistake to lump modern drug auto strains with wild hemp ruderalis, when clearly they're not the same.
 
Lol.... auto flowers are indeed notorious for being low potency...probly cause the first lowryder...I could care less if they all are or not, I don't care if they've changed and got better in recent years(understand the definition of notorious ,"generally known and talked of ; especially : widely and unfavorably known"an upheld belief that's negative, it does not have to still be true or always true)...fact is they are still notorious for being low potency, maybe that will change as people keep growing em out.......but until then, it just looks like someone knocked auto flowers in that sub section and its pretty funny to see your reaction....
 
In all honesty, I've never attempted to grow an auto-flowering strain. Space and time are not an issue for me so there is absolutely no reason for me to fuck with them. I've been at this for ten years, and have been just fine without auto-flowering traits. As far as ruderalis sharing 95% of it's genetic make up with cannabis indica and sativa.... humans share over 95% of their DNA with chimpanzees but that doesn't mean I'm gonna run out and fuck an ape. Call me crazy, but I'm gonna stick with with the stuff that has been selectively inbred for it's recessive drug traits for thousands of years. I see no reason to throw hemp into the mix just to make it require a little less work for me. However, just because I have a poor opinion of ruderalis genetics, it's a (somewhat) free country, and if other people want to mess around with auto-flowering traits that's fine with me. In fact, I honestly hope everyone's herb turns out dank.
