First a pic of my "sample" shopping spree!! (not including the stuff that didn't make it home, hehe)...
Ok, so... Been on mmj in CO about 6 weeks now and have managed to find a few fav MMCs but am hoping for more advice. I've pretty much only been using weedmaps to narrow down the choices before visiting, as it seems to be the best site of it's kind.
First, I live in Brighton so it's been convenient for me to get stuff from the clinics in Northglenn.... TGS I've grown the most fond of as it's a nice place and the flowers are decent for the spend. I get flowers and Cannapunch primarily as they never have shatter and I didn't really like the "taffy" they have, and usually none of the "wax" looks appetizing, limited selection of concentrates basically. They also are frequently out of strain prerolls but always have their "house blend" that I refuse to try, lol
The two other clinics in Northglenn are PPP and Botanacare. Both are "top-shelf" only dispensaries, but don't quite live up to the name. I've only been there the one time so far but Botanacare had all the "name brand" strains, a good selection of edibles and a decent selection of wax but no shatter. The thing that bugged me was the bud, the price was nice but didn't seem up to snuff for what it was, only the OG Kush really impressed me. Also they carry MTF, and I don't trust anyone with MTF as that strain doesn't actually exist, hehe. PPP is nice, they have everything pretty much and I've gotten concentrates there a few times but no flower yet.
So far, I haven't had much time to check out the 100s of shops in Denver. I have however been to Kind Love a handful of times. Until today they have had the best selection of the best flowers, shatter, budder, etc, that I'd found so far. They also always have a huge selection of strain prerolls.
Now onto the HUGE mistake I made today... I started out by going to TGS for a Sons of Sativa and a preroll to get the day moving. I spend the majority of my cannabis budget here and I've been thinking bout becoming a member so today I did. I then stopped by Kind Love looking for some budder(getting tired of shatter) and they were low on the top notch so I just got some flowers and a preroll and headed out and this is where i get angry....
I had already decided to check out some places in Boulder as I haven't been out that way much. But first I decided to try The Clinic in Denver as I've heard good things but never got around to going....
Well, They def had the best concentrates and flower I've seen in CO so far. The flowers are absolutely perfect(the ones in the sample jars at least). So after getting excited about stocking up on Budder the dude tells me non-members can only get 1 g at a time!!! I had to wait till AFTER signing up somewhere to finally getting around to going to The Clinic.
So anyway I shake it off and buy a g plus a 1/4 of some flowers for the hell of it. I REALLY liked their death star but had just bought some from KL 10 min before that so I got some funky smelling sativa that's name escapes me atm.
Later I actually call, then go to TGS to try to get out of the caregiver shit but they already put it thru or w/e so stuck for 120 days
BUT, back to the story, after leaving The Clinic I head for Boulder, to check out 4(5?) of the 15 shops I aggregated from weedmaps that looked to have various things I was looking for... High quality budder(wax?), HIGHLY concentrated edibles(300mg bars don't make me silly like they should for some reason), A vaporizer for concentrates that actually vapes it, as my dab rig is too much work and I hate all the pens I've tried(AtmosRX is best imo but still a pain in the ass and not a real vape)... And so on....
I've run out of the energy I had at the beginning and I need to sample all the products from the Boulder Clinics I visited today so perhaps I'll come back to this rant later. yea...
