Please help us to understand patient numbers and needs:

Because California has no mandatory state registration for medical cannabis patients, there is very little known about the patient population of the state. Please fill out this completely anonymous 10 question survey for California patients so that we can use this data in our efforts to bring safe access to all parts of the state.

Well, the thing is that it's progress in what is a very hostile community and industry. My trans and gay friends will not go with me to canna cups and such because of the hostility from many of the attendees. Look at your own response. It's very negative and bordering on hostile. You refused to take it because it included trans people. That's pretty lame and ignorant. Hopefully these are the things that the ASA is concerned with. If it's safe access for ALL, then it MUST be safe access for ALL. If an LGBT person of any flavor can't get their meds because of hostility faced at dispensaries whether from the employees or other members, that is a problem.

And actually it is a gender. You need to educate yourself a bit on the differences between sex and gender.

While I agree totally with your sentiment, I dont think Gay or Lesbian is a Gender.. At least I was only taught we had Male or Female when it comes to Gender (unless we are talking about a Hermaphrodite). You might be a Female that Thinks, Acts and Likes other Females or a Male that Thinks, Acts and Likes other Males, but your Still Male or Female (or both).

Unless I am not understanding the Issue?

Some of that information seems a bit personal.. example: what is your Zip code, how old are you, and question #4 almost violates HIPAA if IP addresses are logged, as I`m sure they are. I don't see why anyone needs to know what my medical condition is, Doctor / Patient rights please.

I will pass.

That's why it's voluntary, but there is a good reason they need that data....and it is anonymous. Besides, all of us in Cali are legal with scrips, right?

Gender is not the same as Sex.

Gender = what one feels as IE man in girl body, girl in man body, guy, girl
Sex = Sexual anatomy IE dick or vagina, male or female
Sexual orientation = what one is attracted to IE lady boy to butch girl , guy to girl

Similar problem in politics as well. Everyone HAS to be a republican or democrat , right?
Just gotta evolve the mind and add a few more steps instead of an elementary left or right view

I'll check out the survey when I'm not on my iPhone...

For now... "Sex" defines what kind of junk you have. "Gender" defines the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex. In other words, one can be male by sex and female by gender, or vise versa.

Pretty simple, really. Props for being all-inclusive on that one.

Gender Identification is different from biological gender
