I am going to have to make this my new hang out! It has been snowing on the hill already and it is supposed to be a loooong winter. I am already getting excited about next year!

I will be collecting the materials over winter to put a poly-carbonate roof on my carport frame.

Have you looked at "solexx"?

Appreciate the help. I definitely like the idea of an enclosed grow after finding a budwork nestled up near the top of a cola a couple days ago...little bastards.
It's still not 1000%........I found a worm yesterday........

You would need 10 panels for each side of the carport roof. Even that's kind of pricy....I think I might buy one of these for $80, and hope it lasts 2 years...http://reno.craigslist.org/fod/4055665959.html

This is another option. the original covering for my frame.

The wife and I talked about the options and feel the panels from HD would be the best solution. Currently the frame has sheet metal roofing covering the entire thing. We would like to cover it so it looks nice since our fence is a 4 foot chain link. We also use it for storage during the winter so snow load is an issue. I keep telling her we should just buy two more 10x12 greenhouses and connect them end to end. but that is $1500+

That's a great link...the clear greenhouse cover look's good........I only use mine for summer growing, so I will take the cover off after harvest & store it in the garage.......good luck......

Damn i bought a screen but it wasnt big enough to cover my hoop house and i have been using it against the afternoon sun, pretty hot around here in summer.. anyway its not covering everything and this Bt shit did an half ass job so i had to spend 2 hours picking those bastards out of my plants ! Next year i will cover it all because its hard to sleep when you know someone is munching inside of your year's crop..

Lol I just sent my neighbor the link to the santacruz ones. He's been wanting to go up there for something or other and if he goes I'll have him grab some for us lol.

This d00d I know should take the logical next step on his grow and get a proper carport. He basically already made one, shitty and small, and it worked great. I wish I had the room for one bongsmilie

Todays sermon is 'Morning dew'.........I just wanted to point out another 'feature' of a carport.......morning dew barrier. I've noticed when I go outside early in the mornings, everything is wet with overnight dew. This would promote mold by wetting down the buds every night. But inside the carport is dry as dust in the morning. Even the bud I found with worm damage, wasn't moldy............say it with me.."Carport", Amen......
