Haha...like, a ready made bucket? I say go with a HD Homer Bucket for $2.19, and wrap a roll of $2.99 duct tape around it. Don't forget to buy a lid for $.99! Cut a hole in the lid for your net pot, and poke a small hole for some airline tubing, buy an airstone, a netpot, and a cheap $10 air pump from the aquarium section at Wally World.

Buckets have nothing to do with pH, nothing. Best one is the grey Lowes bucket, just make sure they are light proof.
I want a "fancy" bucket though.... One that has a drain etc.... Also I know buckets have nothing to do with ph, its the size of them... The smaller the rez the more inconsistent the ph fluctuates right ??

Why do u need a drain on a 5gal bucket? Sit there and wait for it to drain or simply pick it up and dump it? The thing about dwc is simply simplicity.

Remember superstoner I am working in a very small space.... I use to have a 5gal tub which was probally about 3 inches shorter than the buckets I see. My question is would the 5 gallon tub I use to have would get warm quick and I would have to add 1 liter frozen water bottles especially when plant was small. With these 5 gal buckets are they just as easily to keep the water temp down (so I don't get bacteria) compared to the 5 gal tub which was more rectangular shaped and 3-4 inches shorter????

I am currently making a udwc system with 6 day coolers from Menards. They will keep ice frozen for 6 days without any additional energy. They will also keep the cool in of course. I purchased 3 - 100' lines of stainless steel tubing that I am going to make coils out of and place in each one of my buckets and cool the water with a modified portable air conditioner and pump the cold water through all the coils. Should be very energy efficient with the built in insulation. I will make a grow journal when I have seen the results.
