2 people arrested 1 caregiver

The US is still a long way from having weed legal. What I can't understand is the resources they use enforcing this absurd law against a plant. Meanwhile you can go to any store and carry out as much alcohol as you can buy. We have cities going broke & filing bankruptcy but they can afford all this man power to arrest & convict people over a plant. Even while all recent polls show the public (who actually fund everything) doesn't want the war on marijuana to continue.

i love that 22 old root stems were taken as evidence lol... then 100 lbs of organic bud from hastely trimmed plants were in there "manufacuring stage process"... pretty much his partner cut down the existing grow cause the raid and had a bunch of WET bud that was drying aka 'manufacturing stage'.

so is this when a new era of having a drying room = arrestable offence until proven inocent.

This guy sold to an undercover three times. Whether he's over the weigh and plant count limit or not, let's call it what it is, you're a total fucking ass-face if you're selling to people outside the program that you don't know and he got what he deserved IMO because it's these people that are going to topple the house of cards.

True, also i didnt think of it. But they raided his grow house about a week later and im assuming his med card was not valid anymore because of the arrest.

Hey im considering relocating to RI to go on an endeavor of becoming a care giver this is my passion. What is the level of diffuculty in starting my business in ri??
Care giving is not a business by definition of the law... and is supposed to be about having compassion for people.

Stay where you are and RI will be better off for it IMO.

Well I'm a young dad a family man with lots of compassion more than your mind can fathom I'm sure, but it's ok cus you know nothing about me so I won't take offense. Excuse the term business I used it for lack of a better term. But I have always loved everything about cannabis and what it can do for people with serious illnesses and disabilities so why not become free and use it to help support my family along with my other talents

I do this for living yet still have compassion for my patients. Most I've been filling thier needs for years at half the cost of others and many times at no cost. Following the law you can make a good living because any excess can legally be sold to the compassion center (hopefully it wil be centers some day).

I am incorporated and pay taxes, so yes this is a business for me so if people don't like that, oh well...

I don't feel sory for him. for one hes selling to people on the street like a drug dealer. and for 2 his numbers were over on weight . I know numbers are hard not to have over at time. but point is don't be out on the streets selling the shit giving them a reason to arrest you . he broke the law and got nailed with other related charges .

Heard this guy was pretty much entrapped...

his fault yes but supposid the UC was at the ripac and begging the guy for meds cause he waiting for his card to come in mail an how bad he needed it. Guy gave him 4 oz an then must have gave more couple more times after that...

not fair to make comments about wet weight either...

this is the states investigation on caregivers lol? To go beg for meds at a place put in place to help people in need of meds and info/

If that's the truth then maybe the charges won't stick.. However it's a simple problem to solve, no card, no Meds, no problems. It sucks that you can't help those who may need it but you have to protect yourself. The one good thing is it doesn't seem to have gotten a ton of media attention...

It's people doing dumb stuff that gives the medical marijuana community a bad reputation and makes it harder to make the majority of the public see the program as legitimate. The whole issue is still under scrutiny from many sides despite the obvious good that cannabis as a medicine has been shown to have without the harsh side effects of pharmaceuticals. Things are going in the right direction but people need to be smart when they are given the responsibility of being a caregiver or even patient for that matter. Hopefully a few bad apples won't spoil it for everyone...
