Obamacare Insurance Exchange

I took a preliminary look at it in my state. On the surface it looks pretty good, the poor and the middle class get a break, they get coverage that doesn't kill them and I can see how it might offer some peace of mind. But.... If what I read is true, most plans divorce the deductible from the out of pocket. In other words, you have to exceed both the deductible AND the out of pocket limit before the insurance kicks in. Figure a family making 28,000 a year only has to pay a hundred dollars a month for insurance - fine, but the copays are 50 percent and out of pocket limit doesn't begin until that family has spent 7500 on deductables and 5000 MORE on out of pocket. $12, 500 hit on a family that makes barely twice that, plus $1200 in premiums as well is quite a slap. I wanted to see if I could get something better for myself, But so long as I need tier 2 or 3 meds I am fucked. I don't think those who advocate holding catastrophic policies take drugs into consideration. The plan I saw required that the payor expend $7500 before his insurance would pay a cent of his tier two or three meds.

What you're reading is the high-deductible plan(s). Lower cost due to high deductible. So you're sort of self-insuring yourself for the first whatever $$. That's what I'm on.

Silver - 30 percent copay, it is the strange oop limitations that are killers here. No one should have a problem with a 5k out of pocket but only if all fees and copays are included in that number. And as I said, drugs are going to be killers in this.

Something sure doesn't seem right, then. To me (I'm no insurance agent...) you're describing a high deductible plan, so seems odd that it's for a 30% co-pay. I'm an insurance noob

LMFAO......this ACA is just another drone sucking on the American taxpayers wallets to make other people rich. I feel sorry for todays children, because they are royally screwed. How depressing it will be for them to sit around and hear tales from their Grandparents about how wonderful America was in the past.

I like my part of America just fine.

The Global system is oriented to extract resources from the many for the exploitation by the few. It's always been that way throughout history. Human nature. In 2013, the US simply does this better than any other Western nation. Banks and Insurance companies will be what they'll talk about in the future. How these agents controlled the whole fucking game while we slept unaware, and are fed news via the media in a manipulative fashion

ACA is a cluster fuck. It's like the Bible: it will keep revealing itself for 200o years, and the true believers will use it to smyte the non-believers.

first of all, there is no personal responsibility in going to the emergency room and pawning off your bills on everyone else because you can't afford them.

second, a minimum wage loser like you, who earns about 100% of poverty per year at best, will be eligible for medicaid.

since there is no chance of a minimum wage loser being able to afford health insurance otherwise, knowing that medicaid has your back will only enhance your personal freedom and liberty.

but you go on bitching because you don't like the skin color of the president. way too multicultural, totally not REAL AMERICA material.

of course congress is not "Technically" exempt, but their solid gold, platinum chased, jewel encrusted free lifetime healthcare with ZERO copays, premiums and out of pocket expenses make them not give a shit what is involved in Obamacare, even though they are still Technically bound by it's provisions.

just as multi-billionaires with private hospitals on standby are still "bound" by obamacare, they are just immune to it's predations because they do not need it and do not suffer it's inequities.

people who live on tropical islands dont have to buy snow shovels or wear parkas, this does not mean they are immune to cold weather, they just dont ever have to worry about it.

thats The Other Guy's Problem.

more half-assed allusions to imaginary racism, and ad hominem attacks based on lies falsehoods and your deliberate self-deception.

if you had anything substantive to say you would say it rather than once again going back to the well and screaming That's Racist!!

my reply was full of substance.

minimum wage losers who make near poverty wages will be eligible for medicaid. that's a fact.

that fact will afford you more personal freedom and liberty, as your indigent ass will not be constantly plaqued by the concern of losing all of what little you have should you fall ill.

and as for personal responsibility, that is now mandated by law. no longer will people who earn a decent wage, in this case 400% of poverty or more, be able to forgo health insurance and pass off their costs to the rest of us when they cannot afford the emergency room bill.

these are the facts, and they are substantive.

that they bother you is based on the well-established fact that you don't like anything remotely multicultural, because any other minimum wage loser would be more than happy to know that they don't have to ignore that nagging cough or suspicious lump until it is too late.

always so eager to tell everybody what THEY are. while you hide yourself from your own gaze.

You look down on anyone who works too hard for too little, as if they were merely pawns in your Grand Design, beneath your notice, beneath your contempt, bugs to be crushed under your sandals as you stride the world as an Intellectual Colossus.

the reality is, everyone sees you for what you are.

a petty, angry bitter little person, so wrapped up in your own sense of self satisfaction that you cannot resist the urge to scream into the face of anyone who crosses your path how INFERIOR they are to you.

you are in fact a failure, and when the time comes that you must face what you really are, you'll probably try and find somebody else (probably a republican) to blame for your own personal failings.

What do you mean they aren't exempt? They have their own healthcare plan which is much, much better.

Where is your liberalism at? You realize you're buying into insurance company bullshit without any reservations, don't you? Obamacare will not solve the healthcare problems in this country. Obamacare is a giveaway of tens of billions of dollars a year to the insurance companies who spent vast fortunes writing the Obamacare bill.

was there supposed to be some sort of a rebuttal in there to my substantive remarks?

you're cracking.
