Hello everyone,

I used to grow vegetables outside, and I've wanted to grow cannabis for a while. Recently, the stars aligned, and I stumbled across some seeds at my new place, which is setup in such a way that I can at long last try my hand at this.

I've got plenty of seeds, but limited space. 28x34x12inches (WxHxD), so I currently have only 3 plants in 1 gal containers. They are 3 weeks and 5 days from seed, and they are tiny. I posted some pictures of them here: https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/729772-advice-needed-miniature-plants-pics.html. I'm wondering if I can move up to a 2 gal container. The reason I have them in such a small container is to control size, but they are minuscule!

I can raise the lights another 7 inches, and there is about 10 inches between the lights and the tops now.
I'm also wondering if it was too early to start LST. 2013-09-25 21.23.58.jpg2013-09-25 21.23.29.jpg LST attempt so far:2013-09-25 20.33.44.jpgI pruned some of the lower big fan leaves off and the others are taped to the sides of the jug.

First off I see what you did there with those planters, I'd say they are 1/2 to 2/3 gal planters to be accurate. Your plants look good to me, they have not stretched looking for light, no funny leaf colors and you have under growth starting. as for LST go for it however I'd replant those into bigger pots and by that I mean true 1 gal pots may do fine in the space you have,Then LST .Good luck w/your grow mon! Cheers.

I measured the soil out to be about 4/5 of a gal. I'm worried that if I go into bigger pots the plants will get too big. I'll try transplanting the LST plant into a 2 gal and see what happens. This is my first go, so I'm still experimenting. Thanks for the advice.

You can gain a few more inches by using individual sockets instead of the Y adapters

Do you know why? My amperage draw is well under 80% of the socket's 15 Amp max load. I like the Y adapters because more of the surface area of the bulb faces the plant, which means more light is getting to them. I guess I just assumed each bulb was still getting the 380mA they need.

I was just talking about the physical height of the box

Oh, haha. I like the Y adapters better for heat dissipation. If I have all the bulbs lined up in a row, the air doesn't flow through them as well. When the plants get taller, I might try that though and let you know if it actually affects temps.
